Read | Books I read in July

The first book: "All Sentient Beings Live by Food" by Tang Qi, Qian Bai, etc.

This is a story about food and love. One chapter, one food, one story. It is to use a food to write a story about family, friendship and love. It is also about memories, but it always feels similar to Hong Aizhu's "Old-School Girl Shopping Route", which is written from food. But not as good and wonderful as Hong Aizhu's writing.

The second book: Naoko Takagi's "Mom's Everyday" picture book

Naoko Takagi is one of my favorite picture book writers. I have been chasing her picture books for many years. What she draws is her own story, from when she left her parents as a young girl to live alone in Tokyo for many years, she went for a run , Eating and drinking. In recent years, she is not alone. She is a mother, and "Mother's Everyday" is a painting of her daughter, who is almost three years old, and takes care of her daughter's daily life. Naoko Takagi's daughter has a talent for singing and performing, and she has no stage fright when she performs on stage.

Next, will you draw your daughter going to elementary school, middle school or even university, getting married, and her and her husband's old life?

The third book: "Crazy, Fragile, Firm and Soft" by Zhu Mo

Zhu Mo is a Chinese film worker and knows a lot of big names. Jackie Chan, Wang Zhonglei, and Chen Guofu all helped her write the preface, so she knew that she was a big card in the circle, and she also helped Jackie Chan write his autobiography "Jackie Chan: Before You Grow Up." old".

"Crazy, Fragile, Firm and Soft" is a book about Zhu Mo's growing up life. Beginning from college, then joined Huayi Brothers and became the publicity director at the age of 25, responsible for promoting many blockbusters, including "Assembly", "King of Kung Fu", "The Wind", "Di Renjie's Empire, etc.", Of course, I met many great directors and actors. At the age of 30, I resigned to study in the UK, and at the age of 31, I became a partner of Gongfu Pictures.

The book also wrote about the process of her getting along with many big directors, actors, boss producers, etc. Of course, it also wrote about her work and life experiences. It is a very readable life book.

The fourth book: "The Practice of Walking Alone" by Long Yingtai

This is a prose about the life of Long Yingtai, and it is also the first graphic creation of Long Yingtai. I admire Long Yingtai very much. As a technology fan, her friend gave her an ipad pro. While playing, she occasionally came across the procreate drawing software. As soon as she played, she became addicted. She suddenly woke up at three in the morning and took the tablet. Non-stop painting, at the age of 70, actually published this book of 18 paintings and 40 articles "The Practice of Walking Alone".

Compared with the previous works, this one is much easier to read. If you have the time, you should be able to read it in an hour or two, and the content is easy to understand. It resonates with me when I read it.

In order to get "self" back from the Internet, Long Yingtai's new year's wish is to "walk".

She wrote:

Walking, it will not be the time when the gongs and chips are staggered.

Walking is not the time to share your heart with others.

Walking, it will not be the time to hang on the Internet and get caught in it.

Take a road you haven't traveled and do something you haven't done before.

These are things I want to accomplish myself, and I don't want to be too addicted to the Internet. We always say we want to be alone, but we all spend our alone time surfing the Internet and are kidnapped by the Internet. So busy connecting with "around the world" that there is simply no time to be alone.

But in this day and age, how easy is it to be disconnected from the Internet?
