Tail-tooth feast for two
Every year before the Lunar New Year, when many friends post announcing that they have received a few months at the end of the year, or what good food or gift they have received at the end of the year, it is inevitable that they will have some emotions in their hearts. But this is nothing to complain about. I have to choose to run my teaching career outside the system. There are both joys and hardships in the process. No wonder people.
To this end, my wife and I hold a two-person show every year at the end of the year or the beginning of the year to reward each other for their hard work. I just recently saw a YouTuber introduce the famous old restaurant " Weilu " in Taipei, and we decided to eat tail teeth at the Weirao . We will go in two days.
It was a cold and wet weather suitable for hot pot. When we drove to the Weinao in the alley of Section 4, Renai Road, Daan District, at noon, the restaurant was already full of customers. Fortunately, there were only two of us, so we were able to get to the table side by side. Due to the small number of people, the waiter suggested that we order a commercial lunch of 450 yuan per person, and we can choose two plates of meat slices from cattle, sheep and pigs. Come to eat sauerkraut white meat pot, of course we want to eat white meat, so we ordered a plate of pork and a plate of beef.
Weiru was selected in the "Gourmet Awards" selected by Next Magazine's Food and Travel Group in 2013 (see " One Choice Food Awards" for details), and was awarded a one-star award among 100 famous Taiwanese restaurants. For the two of us who love to eat sauerkraut and white meat pot, we are fortunate to find a seat during the meal time in a one-star old restaurant, and our inner expectations are self-evident.
The steamed hot pot and the ingredients came to the table one after another, and the waiter kindly helped us put the pork slices into the pot and scald. Seeing this scene, 80% of the dampness and coldness in his body has been removed.
"Hurry up! It won't taste good if it's overcooked." In less than ten seconds, the white meat was all cooked, and I immediately reminded my wife to enjoy the meat when it was the most tender. Sure enough, as soon as I entered the white meat, the black pork slices with the skin were both sweet and rich in layers. I chewed it for a while before I was willing to swallow it. We didn't stop the chopsticks, and instantly swept a plate of white meat before placing the beef slices. It's a pity that sauerkraut always needs to be smelted with white meat to taste the right way. As for the beef slices, it is not so amazing.
After eating the sliced meat, I scooped up a bowl of hot pot soup to drink. The sourness of this pot is just right under the taste of oysters and crab pieces, and it is not greasy after drinking it again and again. A lot of vinegar.
Until we almost finished eating all the ingredients, the hot pot was always boiling. After reading the description of " One Choice Gourmet Awards ", I realized that the store attaches great importance to the heat source and insists on not using charcoal, but only using pure charcoal, so it can maintain the high temperature and emit a warm charcoal fragrance.
When I was about to finish eating, I started to hunt for treasures from the bottom of the pot, and accidentally found a few pieces of white meat that had sunk to the bottom. I scooped it up quickly, thinking that it would be a waste to waste these pieces of meat. I didn’t expect that when I put them in my mouth, these pieces of meat, which had been cooked for nearly half an hour, had a solid taste and a rich aroma. It turns out that the white meat is durable and cooked well It doesn't feel good for too long.
Desserts around the kiln are also a must! I ordered a bean casserole pancake. The pancake was fried to a golden brown and crispy, and the bean paste was soft and not too sweet. Even if I had eaten enough, I could not savor these few more patties.
When I walked out of the store, the rain was heavier than when I first entered. After eating a warm meal, it has already warmed to the bones, and the cold wind and cold rain are not enough to be afraid of. I'm dashing alone in the rain -- not just to pull the car, but also to welcome the new year!
