Lose 10kg丨Start contacting Sweatcoin
The epidemic in the past two years has made me grow from 71 kg to 81 kg, a new high point in my life...
"Walking, running, hiking, and exercising while losing weight." During the two years of self-comfort, I found that I was getting fatter, and the weight did not lose but increased. I wrote down three major goals for the Lunar New Year this year, one of which is to lose 10 kilograms, but I haven't started for a long time.
By chance, I came into contact with Sweatcoin. At first, I felt that it was similar to a general sports app. It also stored steps when walking. The accumulated steps can be exchanged for points, which can finally be exchanged for gifts or discounts. But there are a few things I like about it:
1. Charity It has general direct donation of points as charity, and there are different projects, such as helping the third world countries to get rid of poverty, environmental protection tree planting, conservation and protection of animals and plants and so on. However, some of its projects require the efforts of everyone to complete, such as accumulating 2 million steps to save African elephants, so that there is mutual participation, and each step becomes meaningful (directly linked)
2. Fairness Most sports apps are not very accurate and fair when calculating the number of steps, resulting in false steps. For example, the number of steps of a sports watch will not only be counted when you are actually walking, but the shaking of your hand will also increase, so there will be a lot of super exaggerated steps to be counted every day. On the contrary, the mechanism of Sweatcoin is connected with Apple or Google Fit, and it is clearly written that the shaking time will not be calculated.
I have also done several tests. If you walk in place, the number of steps will not be counted; if you walk within a short distance indoors, it will not count; Multiple steps, Sweatcoin only counts more than 3,000 steps. So it feels more fair and just.
3. Challenges In addition to charitable projects, it also has challenging goals, such as walking 250,000 steps a month, if you walk 10,000 steps a day, it can be completed in 25 days. If you walk 15,000 steps a day, you can do it in 17 days. When I participated, I found that there were only 9 days left, so I needed to walk more than 27,000 steps every day. This is a huge number of steps, but the influence of the community also made me try to challenge!
4. The community influence walks to and from get off work, and there are almost 8,000 steps every day. Going for a night run specially, in addition to increasing the number of steps, I also tested the calculated probability of mobile phone shaking. In the end, I obediently went for a 5-kilometer run. Even after a long-lost night run, I had to run with a mask on. It was not easy at all.
But after finishing the run, I feel good and want to continue the challenge. In the middle of the night, I also made an appointment with a friend to run 10 kilometers on Sunday morning. Looking at everyone's daily step count, ranking, and accumulated step count in Sweatcoin, I have an inexplicable mentality of wanting to challenge. This is the influence of peers~ Haha
Finally, the number of steps in the day is 17501. It's a lot less than 27,000 steps, but a very encouraging start! May everyone do charity while exercising!
