Kyiv is my dear city, I have never seen you like this before. Today is March 15, at night 3 shells hit residential buildings in the city, I don’t keep statistics, but according to my calculations, this is the 6th residential building destroyed in Kyiv due to the occupiers.

I write from myself, I write what I see myself, what I can understand. I do not claim anything and I do not convince anyone of anything. But I am absolutely sure that if the Russian occupiers had not invaded a foreign country, not a single person would have died, and therefore Russia is to blame for everything.

No matter how bad or good we lived before the war, this does not give us any right to “enter someone else’s monastery with our own rules.” There is no need to free us, we don’t need your “brotherly” help, go back to your Mordor.

I have never supported the politicians of our country and the strange aggressor, I have always had my neutral, subjective opinion, but now there is no gray, no halftones, there is black and white, there is a country that has invaded someone else’s territory. There is an aggressor who fires ballistic missiles at cities, I personally saw missiles flying overhead just like at home, but in our country there are no such weapons.

Ukraine was disarmed and was left with nothing, and countries with weapons signed an agreement to protect our territory, Russia among them. This is a treacherous betrayal for us 48 million Ukrainians.

If earlier I was sure that everything was not so simple, that the “Banderaites” were just as bad as the “communists”, if I considered the Holodomor a circumstance that was incomprehensible to me, an emergency, then now for me it is definitely Genocide.

And what is happening now is genocide against Ukraine.

I am not a native Kiev resident, I lived in Kyiv in rented apartments for 20 years, and for 20 years I dreamed of having my own home in Kyiv. I lived, worked, saved penny by penny, denied myself many things, and at the age of 21, having cooperated with the families of my parents and my wife, we managed to buy a new, small apartment in which we have not lived and it is not known and there is no longer even hope of living in your apartment.

They say that life is the greatest value, but not in all circumstances. Now, when missiles are flying towards Kyiv and you see this terrible destruction, you want to become a human shield, despite the instinct of self-preservation.

I understand that the politicians sitting in bomb shelters have stolen money from banks or offshore companies, and they don’t care about their numerous real estate, they have houses in England, but we are ordinary mortal people who have spent our entire lives earning food through sweat and blood, and we are left with nothing .

The new generation, the children of TikTok and Instagram, would never start a war. War is needed by people of imperial inclination, those who are nostalgic for the past, those who do not live in the present, but live in Soviet significance, those who still live for the great Russia that defeated Nazism. Almost a century has passed, and they still live by the victory over fascism, and they have nothing else to live for. Only the tsarist state since the 19th century could attack a civilized country.

Until the old generation is replaced, until the generation of the Soviet mentality turns to dust, the entire civilization is under the threat of a nuclear strike.

And this is no longer a war on Ukrainian soil, it will not leave any country on the sidelines, as it is now, it will not be possible to just sit it out and pretend “my house is on the edge,” it will go to everyone.

I admire the courage of our people and military, who have been holding the defense for 20 days.

But I also admire those people who go to demonstrations in Russia.

The girl who came out with a poster against the war during a live news broadcast, Marina Ovsyannikova, has already been detained and the lawyers can’t contact her for a day, I feel sorry for you.

I also know what prisons are, I was also terribly despondent when I found myself there, so her action is a FEAT!

I communicate with people from Kazakhstan, I see that in Russia there are adequate, kind people. I know that there are people in all corners of the world with pain and love for all living things.

I ask you to be friendly, unite in communities without political or religious bias, create a world in which you can help those in need, create a world without announcers and without the possibility of influencing ordinary people at the state level.
