Since June 18th, Macau has experienced a lot of uncomfortable, disturbing and disappointing things. What’s more, the plague has brought social problems to the surface one by one. Whether you want to see it or not, a lot of messes that are usually well hidden are in short order. It emerges from time to time to force you to face it.

There have been no new infections of the plague in Macau for 8 consecutive days, and people from all walks of life are eagerly looking forward to the gradual lifting of the lockdown. If there is no accident, there will be no restrictions on the number of people going to work tomorrow. However, there are still requirements for eating in the workplace, such as proper distance and partition separation. It is said that the specific measures will be announced later. Some industries have still not been able to unblock, and the relevant practitioners have really lost sight of the future prospects in the face of this unwarranted disaster.

Of course, the hardships of these few days have also made many unsung heroes and ghosts and snakes appear in real life. Everyone looks at it every day and remembers it in their hearts. I believe it will also be an eye-opener.

When it comes to the current situation, I think of "Invisible Macau" published by Dr. Li Zhanpeng a few years ago. The book examines the past and present life of Macau in a macroscopic view, introduces in detail the large number of social contradictions and deep-seated problems behind the skyrocketing casino city, and frankly exposes many of the problems here. illness. The author also carefully analyzes the identity troubles and xenophobic emotions of Macao people, and at the same time expects that the society will become diverse, open and mixed, so that more imaginative and creative ideas and development methods will emerge. Such optimism will of course make him friends all over the world , more knowledgeable than the average Macao people. When I read this chapter, I couldn't help but think of Li Zhanpeng's good desire to "align with and compete with international standards", which is still far from the development concept of "being a good child and waiting for the reward of adults" pursued by most Macau people. In this epidemic, I believe that everyone understands the negative impact of a single industry and a single source of tourists on Macau, how to make Macau's development open to the world is indeed a general direction that cannot be underestimated in the future.

After more than 40 days of tossing and turning, although I finally see the dawn of unblocking, I don't feel relieved, and of course I can't feel happy. To sum up this period of anti-epidemic life, it is inconvenient to say more negative words. I think the only positive meaning is to let everyone see many things and many people clearly, no need to cover up, everything is clearly visible, and it is convenient to seek good luck and avoid evil in the future.

In the past, we were faced with many invisible problems, and people also enjoyed happy little days in a harmonious social atmosphere. At that time, it was popular to say "you can never wake up a person pretending to be asleep", but the plague struck quietly and unexpectedly. It is also force majeure, and it is almost God's will to not ask for reasons. This kind of power is enough to wake everyone up, even if they want to pretend to be asleep again, it is impossible for everyone to watch the changes in Macau, how can they feel that it has nothing to do with them!

I hope that everyone will learn to face reality after this epidemic, improve their resilience, and protect themselves. The road to fight the epidemic is not over yet. We really should not be paralyzed any more. We must remember the painful experience of the past 40 days, and we must not let hundreds of thousands of people be trapped in predicament.
