"If/If": Life is so important, what are you willing to give in exchange? !
IPFS
I recently watched a movie called: If/If Netflex Album
The content is quite similar in concept to a series called: Pawnshop No. 8 (played by Tian Xin + Du Dewei).
The content is roughly; if you really want one thing (people, things, power status, money, love...anything)
You can trade what you own or have on you, depending on how much you want it and how much value you're exchanging.
After watching it for hours, I thought to myself, "How can there be such a pawnshop. But what do I really want to pawn for?!"
Yesterday, just yesterday; a word from a friend untied all my knots.
She said: "Before I thought that people who couldn't find an ideal partner were losers. Now it seems that those who seem to be happy are sacrificed or worked hard behind the scenes to look happy."
At the moment, I instantly think of the No. 8 pawnshop. The marquee of life flashes like this.
Each of us "choose" when we make every decision.
The other side of the choice is "abandonment." Another form of abandonment now seems to be no different from pawning.
E.g:
You choose "marriage", you must give up "freedom"
If you choose to accompany your child, you will inevitably pawn part of your "time", "freedom" and "work"
(It seems that the cost of having children is very high)
If you choose a "career", you must be pawning your "body, mind, and spirit" (this is bigger)
But the above may be what we feel we can do to get more spiritual satisfaction.
The most fearful thing is that you have pawned your "self-esteem" and succumbed to a person, thing, or thing that can't give you a future.
Actually what I want to say is:
There are many things to pursue in life, and you can voluntarily pawn many organs or intangible things on your body.
However, these things that you originally possessed are so precious and rare. These things that you originally had come to this world with you are priceless. Don't easily exchange them with all the vulgar things in the world.
At the very least, the things that let you pawn out make sense.
Don't blindly pawn your heart, don't give up your self-esteem, don't hold on to what you don't need
Because the pawnshop can pay you back
But in life, no. time, it won't either.
May our loved ones,
They can all know more clearly what they are pawning and what they are worth in exchange.
There are countless possibilities in life, no matter what your answer is, don't choose any method that will sacrifice your soul. - Matthew McConaughey
