[Diet] Cricket farming breathes life into Lao diet

Insecta, the art and culture of eating insects, is a tradition that dates back at least 4,000 years. Today, people from about 115 countries on six continents eat insects, said Yupa Hanboonsong, an associate professor of entomology at Khon Kaen University in northeastern Thailand. A new project in Laos is using an ancient medicine, crickets, to tackle the country's high malnutrition rates.
