Changes and Coping Mentality under the Shock of the Epidemic (2): Decadent
Following the discussion in the last article , I hesitated again and again, and finally decided to take a year off from school. The next step was to go through all kinds of complicated suspension procedures. At that time, it was the summer vacation (July-September), and I started to eat and sleep all day long. After sleeping and exercising, I continued to eat and sleep, watching dramas and playing online games in between. It was even more rotten and decadent than before, but he was unconscious, and even had a little fun in it. However, this situation did not last long, and I also realized that I was wasting the best period of my life. So, similar to most of my peers, I decided to find a short-term internship. While waiting for the spare time to be a soldier, I learned new skills or, more frankly, spent this time to make my life a little clearer. the center of gravity. At that time, it was recommended by my brother and discussed in many ways. Find your first formal work experience/opportunity in your life on the app you know well. Occasionally, out of the corner of the eye, biased global assessment of the power of multinational corporations: Cushman & Wakefield did not know where the courage came from at the time, and they just threw away their resume without thinking about it. I deduce that due to the fact that I was in the semester, plus five years of study abroad experience, plus the original resume was also beautified and revised by my elder brother, I was invited for an interview unexpectedly. However, the night before the interview, a sense of nervousness and pride that didn't want to admit defeat suddenly surged up. So in the middle of the night, I knocked on my eldest brother's door and asked him about some interview procedures and, more importantly, professional knowledge to prevent him from making a fool of himself in the interview tomorrow. (It should be added here that my eldest brother is an undergraduate student and has his own unique insights into finance and investment. I will describe more details in the future when I have the opportunity.) It was only at that time that I really realized that I used to keep saying that I was studying urban renewal and real estate. Undergraduate, the knowledge about real estate and economics is so lacking! Many proper nouns, concepts, etc. are completely unheard of. Only then did I realize the fact that my real competitiveness was seriously insufficient. Maybe my experience of studying abroad can really help me get the threshold for the interview, but if I really go to the battlefield, I still rely on my true skills! At that time, my disappointment is still fresh in my memory now. It was really like being woken up by ice water in the middle of the night. The various American scenes I had longed for in the past returned to my hometown, and the script of a smooth life was instantly called out. On the day of the interview, I walked into the neat and solemn office tremblingly. I was immediately asked to translate several real estate reports in the newspapers. It took about half an hour to complete. In the office I was waiting for, I hurriedly presented my resume, and the supervisor said: Could you please introduce yourself in English? Having studied abroad for five years, this kind of basic problem should have been handy, but due to nervousness and lack of pressure resistance, I was a little hesitant at first, and finally recovered a little and barely passed the test. This is followed by a series of basic interview questions and answers, as well as some computer skills related questions, such as Microsoft applications and so on. Professional field problems are almost non-existent. The whole interview process may be because the requirements for interns are not high, but I personally feel that I pay more attention to the display and exertion of language and social skills. A few days later, the results of the interview came out. The conclusion was that the supervisor still appreciated my performance in the interview, but due to the uncertainty during the military service, I was asked to contact them after I became a soldier. After reading this email, my heart is really dull, and I deeply realize that I have overestimated my ability circle all the way to the interview. At this moment, I truly tell myself: it is time to think about life and work hard for yourself. Come on!
