How incredible is taking a bus in the UK?
In the UK, people's main public transportation should be buses🚌 (is it called a bus in Taiwan?). Not every city has a subway (London is called the tube or the underground, which means the MRT in Taiwan or the subway in the United States).
The first six months I just arrived lived a bit far from the school and had to take the bus to school, fortunately the bus was free in Scotland when I applied for a Young Scot Card. Only bus 5 and 16 will pass through the bus stop to and from the school, with bus 16 leading to the city center, in other words only bus 5 can go home. It should be well known to everyone that buses in the UK are not on time, after all it is not just a problem in a single city, buses in each city are sometimes canceled suddenly, sometimes delayed by 10 to 30 minutes. By the way, when I traveled to Austria 🇦🇹 last year, the punctuality of public transportation is indeed admirable. I will share it again when I have the opportunity. That day I was waiting at the bus stop after school as usual. When I saw bus No. 5 coming, I raised my hand to signal, but the driver drove away, leaving me stunned. The driver of bus 16 had just witnessed everything from behind and asked me to get on, saying he would help me catch up with that bus and ordering me to stand next to the driver’s seat. I said can you sit in the care seat, after all, you can sometimes stand unsteadily on a moving bus. He said no, standing there and not moving, which was really interesting to look back on. In residential areas in the UK, most residents park their cars in front of their houses, so there are parked cars on both sides of the road, with two lanes left in the middle. They can only overtake the cars in front when there are no cars coming from the opposite side (no oncoming cars) (overtake). I felt like I was in Takumi Fujiwara's car, feeling the driver accelerate over bus No. 5😮, and then put me down at the next bus stop, and of course I didn't forget to say thank you. After getting off the bus, we waited for a while and boarded the No. 5 bus home.
Another time the bus driver took the wrong route and was forced to turn around in an alley. Surprise is normal, after all, I have never met a driver who went the wrong way, and I can't help but admire the driver who can maneuver double-decker buses in narrow alleys. The cars behind kept beeping and the bus driver professionally corrected the route, which was both exciting and funny😂. Of course, there are many places to complain about buses in the UK, in addition to not being punctual, sometimes the driver can’t see you, sometimes someone makes trouble on the bus (I don’t know if they are drunk, it was daytime), so I Eventually also took the driving license test (it seems to be called a driver's license in Taiwan). Driving by yourself is also quite convenient, but occasionally taking the bus is also a pleasure🩶.
The cover is the only selfie taken on the bus, and I seem to have deleted all the scenery I took on the bus before.
