trust yourself
Do you "believe in yourself"?
I have never tried it myself, but believe that you can do it, is that believing in yourself?
Do you believe in yourself if you have tried it, but believe you can't do it?
Sometimes, you know you can't do it, but others tell you to "believe in yourself" and say you can do it. Do you "believe in yourself"? Or "trust others"?
If you know you can do it, but others think you can't, will you still believe in yourself?
Indeed, whether you believe in yourself or not, you may eventually need to go through a stage of "disbelief," whether the person who doubts you is you or someone else.
You have to believe in yourself, just because you or others don't believe in yourself and doubt yourself.
Therefore, asking people to believe in themselves is actually not believing in themselves. At least, until you show that you believe in yourself, or make people believe in you.
It turns out that to "believe in yourself" is to stop "don't believe in yourself"!
However, just "believing in yourself" will really make you believe?
Because you clearly believe you can do it, but you can't.
You think you can't do it, but you don't know how.
If you only rely on willpower and believe that you can achieve things, many things will be easier to do.
But in reality, everyone knows that even if you have a great will, believing in your own results is often just disappointing yourself.
So, we began to ask, why believe in ourselves?
Indeed, believing in yourself is not blind, there must be some basis, otherwise it is just delusion or fantasy.
Ultimately, we will learn that belief must be based on something that can be felt, touched, experienced.
Just as I believe in you because I feel it, touch it, experience it together, so I think I can trust you.
I don't believe you because the experience you gave me told me that I couldn't believe you.
"Believe in yourself", the first thing is not "believe", but the credible facts behind it.
So, when one day you find that people who once believed in you, including yourself, no longer believe in you, you should know that some of the things you have done have made you lose your belief.
Likewise, when you know that you are no longer believed, you also know that you need to do something more believable in order to win back those who believe in you.
postscript:
The three "nos" of "believe in yourself":
- Don't say too much, do too little. It's as if the article "believe in yourself" appears several times, which may make you more skeptical. Do it so you can feel whether you can or not.
- Keep learning, practicing and practicing. Don't think about what you can or can't do, learning will teach you how to do it, practice will teach you how to do it, and practice is just doing it consistently.
- It is not called success. Doing it is not successful, because many people can do it, even better than you. In the same way, failure is not a failure, and many people may not do it. So, believe in yourself, not to prove that you are a success or a failure, but whether you can or not. I know that I have those talents, I know my weaknesses, and I know even more that I can't do my best, but I still believe in myself and won't deny myself.
