Sometimes a kind demeanor has a pure heart behind it.

In Taiwan's sultry and humid rainy season, whether it's sun rain, drizzle, short showers, or downpours. It can always feel unprepared, especially in this busy city in a race against time.

Every time it rains outside the window, I sit at the computer desk and feel the refreshing cold wind blowing from the window. Accompanied by the familiar strong water vapor drifting away, let the breeze ruffle my hair. Quietly feel the tenderness it brings and blow away the depression in my heart.

This reminds me of an interesting story from my student days. At that time, I was studying in a certain higher vocational school in Yonghe, and I was walking home in my school uniform with a folding umbrella.

I vaguely remember that it was raining a lot that day, and I walked forward with my head down and an umbrella, trying to avoid stepping on the small pool and getting my student shoes wet.

When I passed a black car parked on the side of the road, I saw a butterfly flapping its wings at the tip of my eye, and its wings were wet from the rain and could not fly. It flew as high as my ankles at most, and I stood not far from it, wondering what to do.

Just when I was hesitating, a young mother walked in front of her holding her young daughter, and they just passed by holding an umbrella. The little girl saw a finger pointing in the direction of the butterfly and shouted in a tender voice.

"Butterfly, it's a butterfly."

The young mother followed the direction her daughter pointed. She seemed to have something important, so she took her daughter's hand and sped away.

When my eyes returned to the butterfly, it was like fighting against the cruelty of the rain. Constantly flapping my weak wings, I walked towards it and stretched out my right hand, and it stopped on my finger.

"I won't hurt you, you don't have to be afraid, I will take you to a place where you can take shelter from the rain." I said softly to it.

As I walked, I thought about where I could take it to avoid the rain. The rain was dripping on the umbrella surface, and sometimes a cold wind would blow. Walk on the side of the road and try to cross the zebra crossing and the downstairs passage on the right side.

In the process of my walking, I seem to be clear about the idea that I want to escort.

When I was about to pass a cooking outlet that sold hot pot, I turned the umbrella in my hand to the outlet to shield the butterfly from the strong wind that would sweep in.

We walked a bit like this, and I originally wanted to take it to the park to take shelter from the rain. However, because of the rain, it is not suitable for shelter from the rain.

I had to change my mind, thinking that on the way home, there is a flower shed that mainly sells potted plants for ornamental purposes. Mainly there is a tin roof with ventilation around it, allowing it to temporarily dry out the wings.

A short time later I arrived at the flower shed, and I entered the store, which was completely open to the gate of the fence. I stood at the door and shouted into the store, "Is anyone there?"

After waiting for a few seconds, a middle-aged man in his 40s and 50s came out, as well as a large golden Labrador.

"Is something wrong?" the man asked me suspiciously.

Let me briefly express my origin, and I would like to ask the store owner to let the butterfly shelter from the rain here, and it will leave when its wings dry. At first, the store owner expressed concern, thinking that I wanted to ask him to raise butterflies. In my sincere and frank tone, it will not cause trouble to the store, just let the butterfly shelter from the rain.

The man nodded in agreement and walked towards me, reaching out to grab the butterfly that was resting on the back of my hand. It fluttered a few times to avoid the man's palm, and flew to the side under a large green leaf. That pot happened to be a big-leaf golden diamond pot, and it was hiding in the leaves and was just blocked by the leaves above.

After I asked the store again, the man said there was no problem.

I saw the man pull away the leaves above, and watch the butterflies stay on the leaves and keep flapping their wings. Labrador also got close to the leaf and stared at the butterfly, so I left the store by myself and went home with an umbrella.

I remember that after that day, there was a period of time in that store, and business became quite good. It also happened that the store was the only way for me to go home, but I never set foot in that store again.

Now that I think about it, I don't know how I saved the butterfly in the first place. It may be... I am pure and kind-hearted, and I can't watch it suffer without extending a helping hand. Watching it struggle through the rain, I couldn't bear to ignore it and leave.

If you ask me, do I also do good deeds to human beings? I would say, I can't do it anymore.

Because the shattered conscience has long been shattered, and he is full of grievances, so he can only heal the pain with tears alone.

Butterfly life is short, their shortest life is only three months, and the longest can be two years. So how long can the kindness of people live? In front of the interests, it is only a moment, maybe only a few seconds. But to recover, it will take the rest of your life to slowly endure, slowly heal, and slowly forget those pains that you can't see or touch.

I met you on a rainy day, and I would like to hold an umbrella for you to shield you from the cruelty of the wind and rain. Guide you to a place where you can take a short rest, you and I have never met, it is purely coincidence that I met you at this time. May the rest of your life be happy and peaceful.
