As a homesick who is also working overseas, he can say "Wow Taimaruro" aloud in every place.

When I was a college student when I was a blank slate, because my parents were old and in poor health, and my family was not very wealthy,
Therefore, even if I had the idea of going abroad to study, I didn't have the courage to pursue it. I even regarded working abroad as a distant dream. After graduation, I returned to my hometown in Nantou and worked in ward nursing for three years. Finally, I had an opportunity. I got the opportunity to work in Singapore, and I also got the support of my family. I still remember what my mother said to me when I passed the interview, "If you decide, you must do it well. If you go, you will not regret it. Remember, this place will always be yours. Home." So I came to Singapore, a strange and prosperous garden country last March, and it's been a year and a half now.

Leaving a little footprint in Singapore

" Everyone who has left Taiwan, no matter how long it is, will always miss Taiwan, because it is where we took root. 』Seeing @Danielson in the fairy tale kingdom Denmark meets Taiwan in Copenhagen, this sentence can directly describe my mood. I came to a new environment with a dream, even though I clearly knew that this was my choice. , I also expected the helplessness of not being able to return home under the epidemic, but it really is no matter how long it takes, whether I meet new friends here, or whether I am familiar with the work or not, there will always be a voice in my heart that tells me "Taiwan" It's my home, and I'll go home one day."

The environment and resources that we used to be accustomed to when we were young were so unfamiliar and missed after we left the country.

In addition, the author also mentioned the comparison of foreign medical environment and Taiwan medical care in the article. Due to Taiwan's health insurance system, there are many clinics in the streets and alleys. The registration fee is very cheap. Hospital shopping is a culture of visiting multiple hospitals at the same time, but on the other hand, there is a saying in Singapore that "I would rather die than get sick" just go to the clinic to register and get medicine, and it will cost more than NT$3,000, let alone NT$3,000. If you need to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night, the cost of diagnosis and treatment is more than twice that of a clinic. Although Singapore's payment system is very considerate, medical expenses can be paid in installments, but the cost of getting sick is still considerable! Furthermore, I really have to admire the speed of doctors in Taiwan. In one consultation time, doctors in Taiwan are often able to see more than 70 patients. On the other hand, doctors in Singapore can see doctors from here. According to my experience, a consultation time is less than 20 patients at most, and the waiting time is very long. If you want to arrange an examination or operation, you may have to queue for a few weeks. Not only do you miss the convenient medical environment in Taiwan .

A while ago, during the cherry blossom season, I received a message from a Taiwanese friend that the cherry blossoms in my hometown were blooming lushly.

When I was in Singapore, the most gratifying thing was to hear a foreign friend tell me "Taiwan is my favorite country to go to". Every time I hear this sentence, I can always share Taiwan's night market culture with my friends ( There is no night market in Singapore, and ordinary small vendors are not allowed to set up their stalls on the street), and there are various scenic spots (Nantou people recommend Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing Farm in their hometown). Although Taiwan is small, as the author mentioned, " Taiwan is a small China, but is it really a small country? 』My answer is that Taiwan is like a jewelry box, it looks small but delicate, open the lid and you will find a steady stream of surprises, whether it is medical care, economic development, political freedom, Food, Taiwanese enthusiasm, these are always mentioned by my foreign friends (I don’t know why, my colleagues often know the news situation in Taiwan before me), Taiwanese snacks are also becoming more and more famous in Singapore, often On the street, you can see Taiwanese beef noodles, braised pork rice, stinky tofu, and beverage shops.

Under the epidemic, the results of epidemic prevention are obvious to all. Although the number of confirmed cases in Taiwan has increased recently, it has begun to slow down again. I remember that when I first came to my new home, Taiwan had advocated and understood the importance of wearing a mask when going out, but Singapore still He believed that wearing masks was something done by sick people, and it was not until the migrant workers’ dormitory gathered together that they began to force wearing masks to go out. As a Taiwanese abroad, although he did not participate in the front-line work of Taiwanese medical personnel, he was still there every day. Pray for Taiwan and my family and friends in Taiwan. I hope the epidemic will subside soon. Friends in the hospital have worked hard!
