"It's the things that really happen that are the most engaging", five must-see Netflix documentaries

What is your impression of the documentary, brilliant and interesting? dull? Or esoteric?

Does the real story told in the film give you an immersive experience? Here are five Netflix documentaries that I have watched and watched again. There are not many episodes, and they are very suitable for people like me who are impatient in chasing dramas. !

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

In a nationally sensational news event, billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was charged with abducting underage girls for illegal prostitution and sexually assaulting underage girls over the years. In the film, a number of women who had been wolfed out by him back then came forward to accuse them. They narrated that Epstein had hurt them not only physically but also psychologically, revealing to the public the private evil deeds of this glamorous, high-society tycoon. After the case was exposed, because of Epstein's social status, he escaped the law again and again. Did he finally subdue the law? After being sentenced, Epstein committed suicide in prison, and he still irresponsibly escaped the criminal responsibility he had to bear. (After watching the four episodes, I am really angry!! The content is too brilliant and too upside down, I still recommend it to everyone here)

Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer

Los Angeles from 1984 to 1985 was a time of fear, when families feared they would be the next victim. Richard Ramirez , known to the media as a "Night Walker" before his arrest, breaks into other homes and brutally kills them whenever night falls. Victims ranging from children to 80-year-olds were all spared. After the cold-blooded killing, he would leave Satan's marks on the victims' homes, which put everyone in Los Angeles at risk. What's even more ridiculous is that after Ramirez was arrested and imprisoned, a group of female fans appeared to worship him. He even had a marriage in prison. (Intimate reminder: friends who are afraid of blood can pass this first)

This Is a Robbery: The World's Biggest Art Heist

Calm down a bit and have a little family viewing. The largest famous painting robbery in history is recommended to all friends who love art! The Isabella Garner Museum of Art in Boston houses works by famous painters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer, but in 1990, two men disguised as police officers tricked the guards into stealing a total value of $500 million of artwork. The whereabouts of these paintings are still unknown, and no one has seen any trace of them in any auction market.

Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel

No one knows about the Lan Keer incident that no one knows about! I won't introduce much about the content of the event, I believe everyone has seen the news back then. In addition to focusing on the disappearance of Lan Ke'er, this documentary also tells the background story of the Cecil Hotel. I have to say that the story of the hotel itself is even more exciting than that of Lan Ke'er! The Cecil Hotel is known as the most evil hotel in the world. Since its opening in the 1920s, it has gone through the most glorious period in the United States. However, during the Great Depression, the low price became the first choice for the poor to stay. The complex population, where many serial murderers have lived, and the frequent suicide cases cast a mysterious veil on the Cecil Hotel.

Fran Lipowitz: Pretend It's A City

Wen Qing must see here! Directed by Martin Scorsese , a conversation about the city with his friend author Fran Lipowitz . For a New Yorker living in New York, what does New York look like to her? Led by Fran Liebowitz, we will talk about urban weirdness, from the perspective of satirizing tourists, to talking about the joys and frustrations of living in a big city. Although it is an interview-style documentary, each episode is like an uninterrupted talk show that always makes people smile.

I hope these documentaries can win your heart and add a little color to your boring life while staying at home under the epidemic!
