After escaping from the man-made whirlpool of misery

the next day:

What if there is only one in a thousand chances of this place existing? Is it based on what you have experienced in reality that makes you long for this ideal place?

For example, what are the things in the real world that make you feel that your faith is "recharged" and make you believe that such a place and these values can exist?

I was asked twice recently what my greatest feeling was after moving to Europe, and I blurted out "freedom" both times.

The first person to ask me this question was a Taiwanese sister who had lived in China for many years. She was confused about what freedom I was referring to. I can understand her doubts. She has never experienced strong "unfreedom" since she was a child, so it is difficult for her to experience the impact of going from "unfreedom" to "freedom". People who grow up in a free environment are more able to defend the freedom they need in a default state, or even unconsciously. When faced with "unfreedom" demands, they have the flexibility to laugh off it. And for people whose freedom has been restricted for a long time, even if they reach freedom, it will take a long time to get rid of the shackles that no longer exist but are like calluses growing in the body and are still constrained by mental shackles. They are often in a state of stress, commonly known as post-traumatic syndrome.

The second person who asked me this question was a friend who traveled here from Beijing two weeks ago. I could only use a few life cases to resolve the abstraction: For example, many restaurants in China now require you to scan QR codes on WeChat to order food. Mobile phone number, mobile phone number is a real-name system, and you have to provide private information just to have a meal. This is restricting freedom. However, for many people, this is called "convenience".

Everyone's understanding and feelings of freedom are quite different, and personal experiences and habits will also shape the shape that symbolizes "freedom." The ideal place I long for may not necessarily be the ideal place for others. In this way, let this "ideal place" protect personal freedom to the greatest extent: freedom of choice, freedom of coming and going, freedom of being oneself, freedom of participation and non-participation, freedom of personal life and property protection. There should be laws protecting these freedoms.
