"In this society, those with property, those without property, those with power and those without power, everyone feels wronged." ~ Han Han

It turns out that I haven't posted on Matters for more than two weeks. time flies. Recently busy blogging yeungkwan.com and participating in a blockchain project for cultural conservation and inheritance.

Some people will misunderstand that I am a person who loves to read. Actually not. Reading is not my habit growing up. It was only after I was 50 years old that I suddenly realized that I began to seriously cultivate the habit of reading.

Sorting out the old books in the office last week. I found a copy of Han Han's "Disconnected Country" that I bought in 2014 but haven't read yet. This is a collection of essays, which seems to be hard to come by now. Yesterday, I opened the first article "The Wind in the Pacific Ocean", and I was a little touched when I read a passage.

I don't want to talk about politics and institutions in this article. As a writer from the mainland, I'm just very lost. I was lost in the environment I lived in. The first few decades taught people cruelty and struggle, and the latter decades made people greedy and selfish, so many of us were planted with these seeds in our bones; I was lost in the destruction of our predecessors. It destroyed the culture, destroyed the traditional virtues, destroyed the trust between people, destroyed those beliefs and consensus, but failed to build a trust in the brave new world... I am lost as a writer, I write this When writing an article, you have to keep thinking about the wording....
Yes, I would like to thank Hong Kong and Taiwan, they have sheltered the Chinese culture, preserved the beautiful habits of this nation, and saved many things in the roots from catastrophe. Even if they have such and such criticisms.

This is an article written by Han Han on May 10, 2012. I can no longer remember what Hong Kong was like back then, but I still have the impression of a carefree life. Is the phrase "many changes in ten years" outdated? How many times has Hong Kong changed in the past ten years? I want to say to Han Han, "Hong Kong people have done their best."

This year's Hong Kong Film Awards are well received by Hong Kong people and are full of Hong Kong feelings and spirit. Hui Guanwen, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, encouraged the film industry to thank his siblings and said, "In the future, we will face more difficult times. We must not be afraid. We will definitely be better tomorrow. We Hong Kong people will always have a spirit, Even if we cry, we have to laugh and cry.

He originally said in Cantonese: "My wife is the inspiration for all my comedies. She has a very optimistic attitude towards life. She thinks that today will be better if it falls, and sometimes I feel that the mountains and rivers are exhausted, and I want to shoot tragedies. He will make trouble with me, so why do you make a tragedy and let us watch it? The reality is not sad enough, you have to watch the news, all the time, we wear a mask for two years, you must continue to make comedies, Even if Hong Kong people shout, they are laughing and crying! Remind the brothers and sisters in Hong Kong movies that we will face more difficult times in the future. There is a kind of spirit, even if we shout, we will laugh and shout.”

For Hong Kong people who came from the 1970s and 1980s, I am particularly impressed by the Chinese words of this year's Hong Kong Film Awards.
