Poetry and wine take advantage of the years

"Life is like a reverse journey, and I am also a pedestrian."

In recent years, I like to go to Kyushu, Japan very much. Because of the railroad and food.

In the summer of 2018, I lived in Fukuoka with my family for more than ten days, but because of the typhoon, I could only hang out in the city. My mother is visiting this city for the first time and she really wants to eat the famous Ichiran ramen; my sisters are old horses and know the way, and they all know that Ichiran ramen shop is next to a subway station, which is a taste that everyone who travels to Fukuoka should taste. . Only I was stunned, thinking it was "Yilan Beef Noodles".

When I went to eat Ichiran ramen in the afternoon, it was past the meal time, so there would not be a long line of people waiting, but there was still a queue. The fact that I had to queue for dinner made me uninterested, but because the whole family admired it, I had to patiently accompany it. Chatting while queuing, "This is the first time I have eaten!" My sister was stunned, "Why, you and I came here 20 years ago, and you also ate a lot of yatai cuisine. I still remember that year. Cold, we have been searching and walking in the snow...".

So, in travel and food, I also see the mark of the years.

When I was young, I ate for travel. Eat French bread in Paris; potatoes in London; McDonald's in Japan; Chinese takeout in America. Because there are so many places I want to go, I can save a meal if I can, just fill my stomach, and then rush to the next place.

Along with economic stability and married life, the relationship between travel and food has undergone extreme changes. Before going out, be sure to check and make reservations for local famous stores, as if missing something will become a great regret. It was roughly when I was in my thirties, and I ate many famous delicacies that "must be eaten at least once in my life", such as the famous Kagoshima Kurobuta Hot Pot in Ginza, the marching sushi of Jiro Ono, and the Portuguese cuisine by the black sandy beach in Macau. , and kaiseki dishes at many hot spring hotels.

Later, I found that the most memorable meal during the trip was usually getting lost or rushing on the road in the cold night, on the streets of towns and towns with no one in front of and behind, because I was extremely hungry and cold, I pushed open the small wooden door of a restaurant nearby, and inside There was a lot of noise. After get off work, people sat around a table, drinking, eating meat, and smoking. Then I just had to point to the next table to order, and then I could eat unforgettable delicious food.

What is an unforgettable taste? The standard that I personally agree with is: in the following life time, during the journey, the taste suddenly reaches the tip of the tongue. The unforgettable taste seems to have this kind of aftertaste. However, there is no chance to go to that kind of store a second time. One is that I don't know where it is, and the other is that I have no intention of looking for it. Later, the people who accompanied him at that time were also there.

Gradually, as I got older, I fell in love with the other relationship of travel and eating, and I traveled for the sake of eating.

There are a few restaurants that I love, and they're running steadily and brightly. There is such a restaurant in Arita.

This restaurant consists of two parts: the restaurant and the Arita-yaki gallery. The feature is that coffee cups are placed on the walls, and customers can choose one of them as a side meal. But I'm also getting older and don't give much thought to these little gestures, I'm here just for its meal and space. I love its saga beef dishes and yudofu. This is by no means the best beef dish and soup tofu I've ever had, but I enjoyed the sense of stability, and I hopped on the JR exhausted after a hectic semester of classes. Sometimes I stay in Fukuoka before going there, sometimes I head straight to Saga and enjoy a delicious ten-item set meal as expected. Except for one raw beef salad that was deleted, the menu and the quality of the meals were consistent and matched the tastes I remembered. In addition, I also appreciate the "non-coupling" characteristic of the ten dishes. Each dish has its utensils and condiments, and the form and taste are rarely linked. After eating, go to the gallery to buy some cups or dishes, or browse other shops that sell Arita yaki. Then take the shuttle bus for another stop to the Takeo Library to read. Arty, perhaps, but the itinerary was a ritual that gradually brought my heart back to peace and stability.

Afterwards, take the railway along with the pleasure, or go to the seaside to eat seafood, or eat local specialties. In the rainy and snowy days, and the windy and moonlit nights, I am most obsessed with the boundless plain scenery when the train passes through the plain, sometimes it is green, sometimes it is snow, I murmured that string of place names in my heart: Hizen, Higo, Obi, Nango, Dangjin, ..., ah! I'm obsessed with each name.
