unquenchable fire

when i open my eyes

The bright light from the outside forces me to return to the darkness

when i close my eyes

The hustle and bustle of the outside world prevents me from returning to peace

when i'm hungry

The outside world fills me with misery

when i'm on my stomach

The outside world makes me thin to worry

I'm constantly at odds with the outside world

every conflict

It's all fueling the fire in my heart

The fire is getting hotter

The smog is getting thicker

Until I choked out tears

Tears flow, flow, flow

like a never-ending rain

but always

Can't put out that fire
