Moonlight (La Luna) 7-minute short film
"La Luna" is currently my favorite Pixar microfilm. I was fascinated by the calming sound of the waves from the first second of the series. Nature, music and wonderfully animated characters are the protagonists, and they took me into another imaginary world.
La Luna (Moonlight) is a gorgeous and moving microfilm, which is only seven minutes (without dialogue) compared to most long two-hour films, and tells a short story of three generations. It's only 7 minutes in depth and has a little humour. Children's laughter. The tenderness of father and grandfather, the sweetness of the stars and the moon. The animation is beautiful and full of charm, and my heart was moved and melted.
Tonight the little boy's dad and grandpa took him to work for the first time. It will be a huge surprise job awaiting him. They sailed out to sea in a wooden boat La Luna, and together they waited for the hours of work to shine.
Although the three generations all wore the same overalls and hats, there was friction in the same job faced by the three.
Should the little boy imitate his dad or his grandpa? Should the little boy be able to find the working model of the third generation in the conflicting opinions of the two generations? Or continue to follow old traditions? The little boy is very smart and has a strong ability to learn. His curiosity, exploration and smile bring him confidence. He solves the problems encountered at work on the first day of work. I think he may have found the best working model for him. Both dad and grandpa are proud of their son/grandson.
Describe this micro-movie in one sentence: a feast that enters the eyes, ears and heart. (A feast for eyes, ears, and heart💗)
