Notes-French Mime Festival/MIMOS

In Taiwan, there is rarely the atmosphere of an art festival held by an entire township. This performance in France was an eye-opener for us.

The performance of MIMOS, because it is an invited group, in terms of publicity and ticket sales, along the way to the performance stage, the windshield of the car, the entrance of the theater, the bulletin board, you can see the flyers about our performance everywhere. Completely, there is no need to have a psychological burden, you can concentrate on performing well, and here is the first time we have been treated as artists.

Because it is an outdoor performance, the lounge is set up in tents, like a Taiwan garden party. However, the difference is that it is surrounded by canvas and has a private space. When you enter it, everyone is stunned. BUFFET, and even more exaggerated is that there is a refrigerator, seeing these dazzling small meals, it is different from the atmosphere of Asia! I'm sorry, I was so excited that I lost my temper, but I'm really happy! Sprinkle flowers~

Going to another city is nothing more than waiting for the rhythm of the shipment of musical instruments. It is impossible to predict when it will arrive like in Taiwan. In this case, I will practice with my hands in the lounge, and prepare the microphone configuration and tripod on the stage.

The instrument was put on the stage, the positioning and the MIC were tested. All the processes were SAT good, and I communicated with the props well. This was the last performance in France before returning to Taiwan. Everyone’s heart was mixed with different emotions. The way you treat the performance will also be different. All the preparations before the performance have a relaxed pace.

For this performance, we decided to perform with a slightly relaxed feeling. What is the difference from the twenty or so performances of Avignon before?

When playing the drums at full strength, just like exercising, the whole body is in a state of aerobic exercise. After 50 minutes of playing the whole game, it is a disguise to say that you are not breathing or tired. The words are very obvious, so, as much as possible, I will swallow the gasping look, haha. The performance of MIMOS was outdoors, and there was no shelter anyway. When panting, everyone squatted down to regulate their breathing. This was probably the most open plot.

On this day, I don’t know what the audience’s impressions were. I just remember that that day, we sacrificed ourselves. In dry France, we couldn’t stop the sweat of love. The last art festival was in the ordinary and extraordinary. In the atmosphere, it's over, a little excited, a little lost, a little moved, but more grateful, thanks to the trust and care of our partners for more than a month, so that we can know each other better.
