Design and Art
I read from the art department of product design to the university's technology department, but the university's technology department mainly focuses on art, and it is still the popular contemporary art.
From the original product design thinking to the contemporary need for artistic design, there is a huge gap in the way of thinking, which leads me to have a great rejection of the word "contemporary".
"Contemporary is what is incomprehensible."
Naturally, this thought entered my mind.
But I still want to know what the real "contemporary" really is. Maybe it's a bit contradictory, but if I don't do it, I feel that I can't fit into the field of so-called "design" and "art". Therefore, I have seen many contemporary works and listened to the creative ideas of many contemporary artists. So far, the concept of contemporary art is:
"Research on materials, works created through one's own understanding and expression may not necessarily return to life and be used by others."
Because of such discoveries, it becomes necessary to know a little more about what "contemporary" really is, in order to have more breakthrough ideas in design thinking.
"Design belongs to design, and art belongs to art. After all, the two are very different. To combine the two into "art design" and "design art", many people have different understandings."
Now I re-learn and think about the definitions of terms such as "design", "contemporary design", "artistic design", "traditional craftsmanship", etc. that "ordinary people" understand. In fact, I want to promote more traditional, Folk crafts, redesign the appearance, and let the crafts return to the society of the new era.
I know it's tough, but I love the beauty of craftsmanship, the beauty that can give any little thing in everyday life a sense of life.
I believe that apart from people in related departments, most people don't really understand what the word "craft" refers to. Not many people are talking about it, and not many people are promoting it.
Is it traditional woodworking sculpture? Or is it a folk art tea ceremony? In the following articles, on the one hand, it will give you popular science, and on the other hand, it will also be a sharing record of self-learning.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
