How to distinguish the three chains of Omni, ERC20 and TRC20 for currency transfer
Recently in the group, I saw someone calling for help because they chose the wrong chain when transferring coins and did not receive the transferred coins, which made me realize that it is very important to learn to distinguish between three chains, because as long as the wrong chain is transferred, it is not like a bank in the cryptocurrency world. It is easy to save you, so I hope that friends who have just stepped into cryptocurrency must learn to distinguish the three chains of currency transfer.
The seniors in the currency circle of the group are very enthusiastic to teach some distinguishing secrets. The following are the key points I have extracted.
Omni = take the bit chain, the slowest speed → address starts with 1 or 3
ERC20 = use the ether chain, it is easy to get stuck in traffic when the market is big → the address starts with 0x
TRC20 = TRON Chain, the fastest → T at the beginning of the address
The above three chains "address formats are different"
Before transferring coins, be sure to remember that the sender/receiver must
1. Select the correct currency
2. Select the right chain, which can be judged from the beginning of the address
3. Check carefully, it is recommended to join the list so that the key will not be wrong next time
If you want to transfer bitcoin, you must choose the Omni bitcoin chain.
If it is a small currency built on the ether chain, usually only the ERC20 ether chain can be selected, unless he also uses the TRC20 wave field chain.
While USDT is special, some exchanges can go on all three open chains, so be careful when transferring to USDT, you must choose the same chain for withdrawal and deposit, and TRC20 is currently the cheapest. But most of USDT only has Omni Bitcoin chain and ERC20 Ethereum chain, and most of them choose ERC20 Ethereum chain. For example, USDT in USDG wallet only has ERC20 chain, and MetaMask wallet only has ERC20 chain, because it is built on the Ethereum chain. On the wallet, so of course only the ERC20 chain.
I hope the above information can help everyone learn to distinguish the three chains, and don’t transfer the wrong currency.
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
