There are more than 150 million Ethereum currency holding addresses! WOW Mining Tutorial (Rating 3, out of 5)

I am the sage, please give me your advice.

The epidemic has subsided, please pay attention to protection!

Foreword:

Let’s talk about some data first. Someone once said that if an opinion is not supported by data, then it is nonsense.

A few days ago, I tried to count the number of currency holding addresses of some currencies, but encountered many problems.

Feixiao has provided some data above, but some of them have obvious problems.

How to truly reflect the number of currency holding addresses?

After all, some coins will be mapped on other public chains. For example, BTC has as many as a dozen mappings on Ethereum. There are also corresponding mappings in other public chains, which creates statistical difficulties.

I try not to consider the situation of other public chains and try to make statistics. There may be errors. I hope you can correct me. Thank you very much.

Most of the following data comes from non-small number queries:

Among the top 50 currencies, the currency holding addresses that can be easily queried are as follows:

Billion level:

The first place is Ethereum ETH, with approximately 151 million currency holding addresses.

Ten million level:

The second place is Bitcoin BTC, with approximately 38 million currency holding addresses.

The third place is TRX, with approximately 32 million currency holding addresses.

Fourth place Bitcoin SV (BSV), with approximately 20 million currency holding addresses

The fifth one is Bitcoin Cash (BCH), with approximately 16 million currency-holding addresses.

The sixth one is DASH, with approximately 13.9 million currency-holding addresses.

Million level:

The seventh one is DOGE, with approximately 3.5 million currency-holding addresses (actually I don’t believe this data)

The eighth is Litecoin LTC, with approximately 3.1 million currency holding addresses.

The ninth one is EOS, which holds approximately 2.5 million currency addresses.

The tenth place is Ethereum Classic ETC, with approximately 1.8 million currency holding addresses.

There will be no million levels after that, so I won’t repeat it much.

As far as the currency holding address is concerned (if the above data is correct), we can draw the following conclusions:

1: The number of Ethereum currency holders far exceeds that of Bitcoin. If there is a true overlord that can challenge Bitcoin, it must be Ethereum.

2: Tron has more currency-holding addresses than imagined, far surpassing Yuezi. In the 3.0 game, perhaps the outcome is obvious.

3: BSV has more currency holding addresses than BCH. There are a large number of wallets in China that support BCH, but few wallets support BSV. I think the vast majority of currency holding addresses should come from overseas.

4: Dash has more currency holding addresses than Litecoin. There is no way to count the currency holding addresses of the other two anonymous coins. I think there should be no shortage of Monero addresses. On many faucet websites, LTC and DASH are side by side options, but the gap surprised me.

5: There should be more than this number of Dogecoin addresses. I think it's because other mappings are not counted. But considering that Litecoin also has similar currency holding addresses, I think this data is credible.

6: Ethereum Classic only has 1.8 million currency holding addresses. Maybe I overestimated its power. However, as Ethereum switches to POS, I believe that a large number of miners will come back to mine ETC, and perhaps there will be a turnaround.

Of course, there will be opinions.

For example, my Dogecoin is all placed on the exchange. In fact, there should be more Dogecoin addresses.

You can also substitute Dogecoin into any currency into the above sentence.

But most people buy Bitcoin on exchanges. In terms of currency withdrawal fees, almost no currency is more expensive than Bitcoin.

According to this logic, most currency holding addresses should exceed Bitcoin, but the outcome is exactly the opposite.

Some of them can't compete, so they are prepared to talk about their computing power. Their characteristics are as follows:

As far as BCH and BSV are concerned (they use the same algorithm): (the data below comes from viabtc mining pool)

The computing power of the entire BCH network is 4.02EH/s

BSV’s entire network computing power is 0.96EH/s

Therefore, BCH is safer than BSV. Of course, this is no problem in terms of computing power.

The real question is:

Why are there more BSV holding addresses with low computing power than BCH with high computing power?

This is a question worth thinking about.

In China, there are a large number of wallets that support BCH, including but not limited to: imtoken, token, cobo, bitpie...

(The screenshot data below comes from Feixiaohao.com/ )

The only wallets that support BSV are:

If in terms of listed exchanges:

BCH is listed on 207 exchanges:

BSV is listed on 141 exchanges:

Judging from the number of listed exchanges, BCH also overshadows BSV.

Judging from the number of supported mining pools: (The following data comes from https://miningpoolstats.stream/ )

BCH is supported by 30 mining pools, while BSV is supported by only 23. (The difference is not big)

Here comes the question of the soul:

Since you have high computing power and support many exchanges and mining pools, why does a coin that forks from you have more currency holding addresses than you do?

The normal situation should not be like this. The local currency is larger than the fork currency (the currency holding address). For example, BTC has more currency holding addresses than BCH, and ETH has more currency holding addresses than ETC.

I think this is an anomaly.

Of course, some people may continue to say that BSV is cheaper than BCH, so there are more currency holding addresses.

Alas, you can find excuses like this.

So why are there not as many currency holding addresses for Litecoin as there are for Bitcoin Cash? LTC can’t be more expensive than BCH, right?

After all, both Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash can be seen as copycats of Bitcoin.

There must be something wrong when something goes wrong, but we haven't found out what went wrong yet.

But there must be something wrong somewhere, and the currency holding address illustrates this point.

I even think that most faucet websites support BCH, which is even more strange.

It doesn’t matter what you say, as long as you have some evidence.

I hold both BSV and BCH, and I hope both will rise.

Of course, if I hold one, it counts as holding, right?

Having said so much nonsense, let’s get into the main text.

I believe that there should be no shortage of Monero currency holding addresses. After all, the approximate number of Monero miners is between 1.5 million and 2 million.

In this case, how could he have fewer currency holding addresses?

Someone asked excitedly, are we going to teach us how to mine Monero today?

Alas, it’s not impossible, but the amount of digging every day is really worrying.

So, I have no choice but to continue reading.

Found a fork of Monero, WOW.

It's him.

WOW Mining Tutorial (Rating 3, out of 5)

I actually think it's quite interesting. Let me give you an example.

Bitcoin icon:

Bitcoin cash icon:

Hey guys, just change the yellow to green, that's how simple it is.

Let’s take a look at today’s pig-footed body MXR:

The fork coin WOW we want to mine:

Alas, turn him upside down and change the color.

Hey guys, you guys who make icons are really lazy.

The good thing is that this is also CPU mining, the mining difficulty is not bad, not as big as MXR, and of course the currency price is not that high.

As long as you have a computer, you can mine. As for whether it is cost-effective, you can do the math yourself.

We double-click on it and the wallet will open.

Then follow the prompts to create a wallet.

Let's move on to the next step.

Of course, please don’t take screenshots. I will refresh the mnemonic phrase later.

Then you get a new wallet.

Or generate a new sub-address.

Of course, the above should be enough.
