toki pona has its own sign language system: toki pona luka

When learning toki pona, in addition to the fun and excitement that toki pona has its own text, I am even more surprised that toki pona also has a sign language system!

In the process of learning toki pona, I did not see that the users of toki pona have any ambition to promote the language of toki pona, and the founder of toki pona is not like the founder of esperanto. I hope toki pona becomes the medium language of international communication.

The toki pona community makes me feel quite casual many times, and I don’t particularly hope how toki pona should develop, nor do I particularly promote the development of toki pona.

And when I found out from the book " Toki Pona: The Language of Good " written by the founder of toki pona, toki pona actually has its own sign language system, I was super surprised!

Although the founder of toki pona gave some somewhat hilarious examples at the beginning of his introduction to toki pona luka in the book " Toki Pona: The Language of Good " to describe a moment when toki pona luka can be used: " Toki Pona Sign Language "

• in a quiet library or house of worship,

• during covert ninja operations,

• diving underwater for treasure, or

• while taunting rival Lojbanists with gang signs.

This introduction makes everyone feel that toki pona luka seems to be a game-like existence.

But as soon as I read toki pona luka carefully, I think it's a well thought out and well designed sign language system.

Also because toki pona has its own writing system and sign language system, it made me reconsider whether the founder of toki pona really thought this way when he first created the language of toki pona: the purpose of its creation is not to become an international assistant language.
