Orthopedics vs. Rehabilitation, what's the difference? |The darkness hidden under health care and rehabilitation (3)

In the clinic world, there is a big difference between "orthopedics" and "rehabilitation":

Orthopedics are basically practiced by orthopedics and neurologists, and only "physical therapy" is usually prescribed for referrals;

But if prescribed by a rehabilitator, "all rehabilitation treatments can be prescribed"—physical, functional, verbal.

What's the difference?

This means that a patient who enters the clinic can be "skinned",

Of course, this refers to the "health care point value":

A patient with a sore hand went to the orthopedic clinic after seeing the doctor and paid the money,

In addition to the registration fee, plus doctor visits, drugs, physical therapy, and other self-funded items...

It will be the "contribution" of the patient today;

But in the same situation, in the rehabilitation department, the physical therapy can be directly increased into 3 benefits.

Some people may ask: Why can I apply for health insurance points because Ata has not done other rehabilitation treatments, and even this rehabilitation clinic has no place where other treatments can be performed?

First of all, in the medical industry, as long as you have a "license", you can apply for health insurance points.

I know it sounds ridiculous,

But in fact, this has been done for a long time,

Even the so-called therapists in many clinics are actually just work-students "selling dog meat".

that is:

"Workers who want to find a job without a license" encounter "unscrupulous clinics that are only willing to hire therapists at the minimum wage".

Besides, how do you know that the treatment prescribed by the doctor is really related to your hand?

It's actually quite simple,

Just like applying for insurance, colluding with the doctor to open the treatment part or the name of the disease as a "benefit item",

In fact, there are a lot of clinics doing this in private.

As long as you write your illness as requiring other rehabilitation treatments, you can naturally apply for points.

In the end, it doesn't matter whether there is space or not,

As long as there is compliance when the clinic was set up,

A lot of treatment equipment is actually there, but it's all put away.

After all, the "CP value" of the instrument is relatively high!

It is not difficult to find here,

Compared with rehabilitation clinics, orthopedic clinics are often overcrowded with patients.

After all, the difference in the amount of money that can be applied for is much different, which also causes differences in the work of physical therapists.

Physical therapists in orthopaedic clinics work simply as instruments.

There are usually fewer projects opened (increase the table turnover rate),

Some clinics will also add other self-funded items (the more you earn, the more you earn),

But the number of patients is so large that it explodes;

Rehabilitation clinics have relatively fewer people, but they have relatively more things to do.

After all, some patients really need a lot of time to intervene,

For example: sports training for neurological patients, children's group class, etc.

so,

If you are "Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Polio...etc. Central Nervousness and Child Development Problems"

If there are too many people in a large hospital, or if the chronic rehabilitation is beyond the golden period, please go to the rehabilitation clinic to help you.

But if it is as mentioned in "What is the use of electrotherapy and heat compress? | What do physical therapists under the health care system do?" :

" Simple soft tissue injury disease, mild spinal disease, long-term chronic pain disease"

Going to a Rehabilitation or Orthopedic Clinic is the same!

In fact, you will find that rehabilitation clinics are difficult to find, after all, the overall operating costs are relatively high.

So consider the distance, go to the orthopedic clinic if you can!

Reserve resources for those who really need it.

The government has been advocating "don't spend on medical resources",

We always think of those Asangs who don't go home just like buying medicine and candy.

Abo, who is clearly not sick or in pain, still runs to the clinic all day to chat...

After reading this article, you may also think of a hospital clinic owner who is desperate for money.

Physicians who are embarrassed...

But in fact, the source of the real waste of medical resources has always been the "health care" that people talk about.

As for what kind of system the health insurance is, would it be better if it was increased?

I'm Baker, I'm a physical therapist, welcome to my country

.

Under the current health care system in Taiwan, no matter what the zodiac sign, the therapist will definitely write the word "world-weary" in the personality column.

.

Over time, the burning dream fire in my heart gradually went out, and "doing the 'teacher' and walking the meat" became a buff at the meeting before going to work every day . . .

.

But in my country, I hope my residents can see the real face of physical therapy and then understand, understand, and even love this profession that is "no less than any other medical technology" and "not just brainless operations" . . .
