[Life] The epidemic has repeated

In the past few days, I have been hearing reports and received notices from Asian colleagues that the epidemic situation in some Southeast Asian countries has become very serious. Many athletes participating in the Olympic Games in Japan have tested positive; factories in Vietnam and Thailand are closed; factories in India strictly control the number of employees entering the field and greatly reduce production capacity; only China has a relatively normal supply chain.

The closure of these factories will have a huge impact on the supply of all brands and the achievement of this year's performance. Brands have seen a sharp pickup in orders this year, far exceeding 2020 levels. Some even surpassed 2019 results. The original excitement was suddenly poured down by a basin of cold water; all the orders increased greatly; however, no one was sure whether they could really get these orders as scheduled.

Everyone is pinning their hopes that those factories and the regions where they are located can control the epidemic as soon as possible. However, with the spread of the delta-mutated virus, even the United States has seen an increase in the number of new additions in the past few days. The number of single-day cases in Massachusetts, where we are located, reached nearly 800 yesterday; it was several times higher than the more than 100 cases at the beginning of last week; it is very worrying.

Moreover, some of those diagnosed people have been fully vaccinated; although the hospitalization rate is not high, it is not a good thing. Went to the office today for a meeting with colleagues in the quality department. Three of them were seen coming in and both were wearing masks. Concerned about the delta virus and the number of new confirmed cases, they consciously put on masks again.

Our company also does not notify employees of vaccinations; we also do not know who has been vaccinated, unless it is someone from our own department. Before going to work in the morning, a student also expressed his concern and hoped that I could ask the company if there were any measures. So far, no notification has been received; however, it is indeed necessary to consider whether to wear the mask again...
