Worse than finding a job is being recruited

The hard disk egg always loves cos. Successful people: hard disk male: loan to buy a car, high consumption in nightclubs; hard disk female: buy bags, luxury goods, high consumption in high-end places; hard disk netizen: open a book list and pretend to be spiritually rich. Ai Xuan Ai is more fond of ridicule and sneer, and more fond of yin and yang

This year, the difficulty factor of finding a job has increased a lot.

This is not only reflected in the fact that the "Golden Three Silver Four" recruitment season seems to have disappeared. Searching on Zhihu with "2022 job search" as the key word will pop up hundreds of questions and answers, most of which are narrating answers. The Lord has struggled to find a job in this year's "Spring Recruitment" season.

With the news of layoffs, downsizing, and merging of business lines from many companies, the global economy is down, the employment environment is severe, and the job market that should be full of people has become sluggish.

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the unemployment rate among youth aged 16-24 was 18.4% in May, a record high and three times the overall urban unemployment rate of 5.9%.

But in fact, "finding a job is difficult" or "can't find a job" will not cause losses to job seekers. Instead, in some industries that are becoming more and more popular job options, there are even bigger "pits" lurking.

Routine loans for takeaway riders and ride-hailing drivers

After graduating from secondary school, Shen Jie has never had a stable job. Because of the epidemic, he was fired by the restaurant that helped the chef last year. When he was browsing the recruitment platform of the same city aimlessly, he saw a job for a takeaway driver.

"No deposit, no salary arrears, easy income of 7,000 per month, more pay for more work, and no ceiling." Seduced by such a good-paying advertisement, he submitted his resume and was soon notified to go to an interview.

The interview took place in an office building in a prosperous business district. That's why his first impression of the company was that "it feels quite formal." The interviewer only asked a few simple questions, and then said casually, "You Do you have an electric car? The company doesn’t offer it, you need to buy one or rent one.”

They also promised, "There is a transportation subsidy for food delivery. It costs more than 500 yuan a month. You will pay for renting a car or buying a car, and you don't need to spend any money at all."

Shen Jie was right, he couldn't deliver takeout without a car, but buying a car would cost several thousand, and he might not be able to get it for a while, so he was brought to sign the contract at the recommendation of the recruitment company. A rental contract with 12 monthly repayments.

It was difficult for Shen Jie to read through such a contract with complicated and detailed regulations, and he was assured by the company that "the rental car can be refunded at any time", so he signed it at the company's urging, picked up the car soon, and managed to keep healthy. Passed the license, registered a series of accounts, and became a crowdsourced delivery rider.

In the more than a month after that, Shen Jie found that when he joined the company, the so-called "takeaway orders with a monthly salary of at least 8,000 yuan" promised by the company were far from the standard.

He asked another buddy who was recruited, and only then did he know that the other guy had been running for almost 3 months, and he was exposed to the wind and the sun every day, but he didn't get a penny.

The panicked Shen Jie went directly to the company and said that he was quitting his job and wanted to quit the car. The recruiter changed his face directly, "Look at the contract yourself. This rental contract is clearly written and cannot be returned."

After Shen Jie argued with reason, the recruiter denied the original remarks, saying that the car was rented at the car dealership, and the contract was also signed with Shen Jie and the car dealership. Bar.

However, the car dealer said that he was only responsible for handing over the car to Shen Jie. The contract was signed by Shen Jie and the car rental company, and the rent had to be paid to the car rental company.

In this way, Shen Jie was swayed by the recruitment company, the car dealer and the car rental company. He also found that the electric car that he had to pay for a total of more than 6,000 yuan was only 2,000 yuan online. Now, not only is there no work to do, but also monthly car rental payments that far exceed the actual cost.

Shen Jie's experience is not an exception.

In the past two years, under the guidance of a series of fancy operations such as intermediary agitation, cooperation with car dealers, and platform borrowing, there are not a few people who apply for takeaway riders and unfortunately fall into this routine loan trap.

For example, in July last year, the Yaohai police in Hefei City cracked a scam of “part-time food delivery, but people make money by buying electric vehicles”. In the past 4 months, more than 200 people in Hefei alone were deceived, of which The vast majority are young people.

On the black cat complaint platform, complaints about routine loans have also appeared intensively. Most of the complainants were applying for takeaway riders, but they encountered the "routine" recommended by the intermediary to buy a car or rent a car.

In fact, this "routine loan" not only exists in the takeaway rider industry, but has also been transferred to the online car-hailing industry.

The black-hearted intermediary established a car rental company, recruiting drivers to rent a car under the guise of ultra-low cost and high income, not only charging a high deposit and monthly rent on each car, but also binding unpopular niche platforms, setting trap clauses, etc. In this way, on the grounds that the driver fails to meet the contract terms of the daily operating limit of the platform, the vehicle is forcibly taken back, the deposit is swallowed, and then the vehicle is rented to other drivers for circular profit.

In January of this year alone, the Shanghai police destroyed 19 “routine car rental” fraud gangs in a two-month intensive crackdown, and arrested more than 190 suspects with a total amount of over 15 million yuan.

If you apply for a security job with high salary, you will only pay back the training fee.

Some people will think that food delivery riders and online car-hailing drivers are flexible employment and may not be guaranteed. It’s okay for me to be a security guard in the factory, right?

But behind the Internet buzzword "working in a factory", which is used by more and more young people to ridicule each other, there is also a scam that many people don't understand.

In July last year, Wang Kai saw a job posting for high-paying security guards in Beijing on a recruitment website, and directed at the above favorable conditions such as "monthly salary of 8,000 after regularization; five insurances; room and board; overtime pay calculated by the hour" He contacted each other.

The other party was very enthusiastic. Not only did he introduce the excellent benefits of the security job in detail, but he also promised to reimburse Wang Kai's travel expenses from Hebei to Beijing for an interview after giving the company's status and the contact information of the person in charge of the recruitment.

The interview process was also very simple. After a round of rhetoric, the interviewer led the topic to "security assurance".

Of course Wang Kai does not have this certificate. The interviewer bluntly said that the company cooperates with a training base, and the security guarantee can be obtained after half a month of training.

In short, all aspects have been thought of for him. As long as he cooperates, he can work with a certificate and get this high-paying job with peace of mind.

I have come here. I have a fluke mentality, and I don’t want to go there for nothing. The company’s executive, Mr. Zhou, directly slapped the contract in front of him. How could he just give up?

After a half push, Wang Kai signed an on-the-job internship contract, paid a training fee of 1,500 yuan, and was sent by a bus to a practice base in the suburbs of Beijing, waiting for the so-called training assessment to be completed.

The so-called practice base is a few houses in the wilderness. The salary for the internship is nominally only 2,000 yuan. As for the accommodation, it is even more miserable.

Wang Kai said, "If you don't eat steamed bread and pickles every day, it's not much different. Bean sprouts, cabbage and potatoes have a little oil star, and you can't see a few pieces of meat."

Fortunately, Wang Kai ran away in a hurry after a week of internship because he couldn't keep the feeling of "not right", and he didn't even ask for the "reimbursement of travel expenses" promised by the recruiting company.

Unfortunately, many brothers who were sent to "internship" with Wang Kai, Tie Tie, the longer they persist, the worse they will be pitted.

In the follow-up contact, Wang Kai learned that the security guarantee can be obtained within 15 days? No play.

Some brothers have been practicing for 2 months, and then they start to ask questions. The person in charge of the internship base will say that they have helped to remind them, and they are too embarrassed to keep reminding them; Months have passed, and the rhetoric has become "I don't care about this matter, you still have to find President Zhou"...

Just pushing and pushing like this, the end of the internship is far away, and some people resign, thinking that they will always get the internship salary, so they can't do it in vain.

But no matter whether the internship base or the contracting company, the response to the salary request is always surprisingly consistent - everything must be done according to the company's regulations, "the company stipulates that the salary should be paid first to the incumbent and then to the resigned", "the company pays the salary uniformly. The time is XX of next month."

After repeated communication, the other party simply blocked the contact information.

What's more, it will in turn blackmail another sum on the grounds that "it is agreed in the internship contract that if the internship contract does not complete a month, the company will be compensated for liquidated damages."

In this routine, the so-called recruitment company is actually a black intermediary, and the so-called practice base is the security company. The intermediary deceives people and sends them to the security company as cheap labor.

Rights protection is far from being as simple as one might imagine.

First, the deceived people like Wang Kai will not be locals, but young people from all over the country. Wang Kai said that among the 15 people who went to the same batch of "internships" with him, the oldest is also a post-95s generation. Many post-00s have never experienced anything themselves. When they arrive in a big city, they are unfamiliar with the place of life, and then they are frightened by black intermediaries and black companies. Many people will only suffer this loss silently.

Second, whether it is the failure to pay the five insurances during the internship period, or the detention of wages and arrears, these issues that seem to be labor disputes are not under the jurisdiction of the police, but must be arbitrated by the labor bureau. However, these black intermediaries may even fake company names and business licenses, and arbitration is out of the question.

The really effective way is to go to court to sue, but the cost of hiring lawyers, the time to wait for the court hearing, the time and material cost of appearing in court, etc., have long exceeded the return of a few thousand yuan in wages for one or two months.

Therefore, under this routine, it seems that each victim is not deceived by big money. These black intermediaries and black enterprises are like cutting leeks. They change places with one shot, and let young people fall into one after another. into the pit.

Wang Kai said: "I checked the Internet later and found out that it is not only factory security, but also cemeteries, reservoirs, scenic spots, airports, funeral homes, mortuaries, and many others. Those who recruit security guards under the banner of high salaries are all liars."

The scam behind the zero-threshold job

If a person like Wang Kai is smart enough to be considered lucky, there is a last retreat such as being deceived into the factory and running away with a bucket, then there is another type of pit where the victim has no way of retreat - boarding a boat and going to sea.

It is a well-known fact that crew wages are high, but the "highly paid seafarers" promoted by many recruitment websites are all scams.

In February this year, the Shanghai police cracked a case of "seamen recruitment" fraud.

In the recruitment notice, favorable conditions such as a monthly salary of 8,000 yuan, half a month of work and half a month of rest, and no need for overseas work experience have become attractive hooks.

Similar to the "highly paid security guard" scam, job seekers will be informed by the so-called labor service company that they need to apply for a seaman's certificate for ship work after contacting them.

After paying a certificate fee ranging from 2,000 yuan to 8,000 yuan and a security deposit, and signing a labor contract, the job seeker will be sent to a coastal city. Under the arrangement of the gang members, they will work as porters and other coolies on fishing boats or docks. type of work.

Once I got on the boat, it was human beings for the knife, and I was for the fish. It is not difficult to imagine any unfair treatment.

Before boarding the ship, their mobile phones had been confiscated, and they could not get in touch with their families at sea.

For example, the person in charge of the ship said that once you get on the ship, don’t think about leaving, and you have to do it if you don’t do it, otherwise you won’t even be given food, and even threatened to let them stay at sea for the first half year and a year.

One of the victims spent 28 days on the boat, lost 15 pounds, and in less than two days, his back was peeled from the sun. Even so, he was often required to work 24 hours a day.

He described the 28 days as "like a nightmare".

After landing, the victims were told that their wages were settled by the "head office", which was actually the black intermediary who recruited them, but when they returned to Shanghai, the so-called "head office" was already empty.

In fact, the seafarer profession has very high professional quality requirements for practitioners. Seafarers not only need strong physique and skilled professional skills, but also have good professional quality and strong environmental adaptability.

It is understood that the relevant state departments have strict regulations on the recruitment and admission of seafarers. There is no need to pay the certificate fee and security deposit to any labor agency just to apply for a seaman's certificate. If you commit this one, you are already suspected of fraud.

write at the end

In fact, after graduating from college, returning home to take the civil service examination, career editor, or staying in a big city as a white-collar worker, these are commonplace on the Internet, but not most of them in real life.

There are still many victims who have been deceived by the above-mentioned routines.

The reason why the stories of these people are rarely heard is because the vast majority of them are not well educated, they are busy with their livelihoods every day, and they do not have the right to speak on social networks.

According to the seventh national census, in 2020, 34% of the country's population has a high school education or above, and 66% have a junior high school education or below.

Another set of data released by the National Bureau of Statistics shows that by the end of 2021, there will be 200 million flexible workers in China, including about 13 million takeaway riders, accounting for nearly 1% of the country's population base.
