Preface

The content of this article is simultaneously published in Matt Weekly .

Gitcoin's new round of Gitcoin Grants 19 (GG19 for short) has officially opened on November 15th, and this donation lasts for two weeks (ends on November 29th).

Gitcoin Grants is a regular event once every quarter. The mechanism of this time is slightly different from the last GG18. In addition to the original main donation categories being changed to "Program Rounds" and "Community Rounds", an additional " Independent rounds running on Grants Stack". As many as 716 projects participated in the donation this time.

Similarly, in order to reduce the time that partners spend looking at projects, this article will briefly introduce this GG18, as well as the goals of each category, and what projects are recommended and worthy of donation.

In particular, the goal of Gitcoin Grants is to allow projects and teams that are willing to contribute to the blockchain and Web3 industries to obtain funds that can support their continued operations. After all, many of them provide free services in the form of public funds. It should be very reasonable to get some donations appropriately.

Therefore, if you want to make money through speculation, or simply want to criticize Gitcoin, then this article is really not suitable for you.

in conclusion

Perhaps some classified projects are repeated, which means that these projects also meet the criteria for continuous classification. In addition, I think the things these projects are doing are very worthy of donations, so they are included together.

In response to what was mentioned in the preface, many projects of Gitcoin Grants are really for industrial development, and each one has its own vision and goals; because of this, I will be willing to spend a lot of time reading all the projects and make recommendations. , because I agree that these teams are really for the good of the industry.

In addition, starting from GG18, we can see that more and more Chinese communities and teams have joined. In addition to "Web3Matters Weekly" in which I participate, there are also "W3 Exhibition Report", "District "Block Potential", "FABDAO", "DeSci Asia", "Nomad Project", "Creator Economy IMO", etc.

I also hope that these teams who are working silently can be seen by more people, and while receiving support, they can also move towards their goals.
