Freedom of the Rain God

I feel that the world is changing too fast, but I don't often realize the subtle changes in my body and mind. Or, life makes the mind rigid, and if you don't try to make some adjustments, it seems that you are used to seeing everything.

When I was woken up by the sound of rain, it was nearly six in the morning.

After washing, put on a sleeveless shirt, put on running shoes, put on a sports mask that you will never wear, and ran out of the house, running slowly and straight to the riverside park.

This year, the rain god is walking with me in Taipei, and I am always looking for a gap without rain, waiting for the mercy of the rain god, so that I can run on dry ground for a while. Over time, the rain has become an excuse for failing to practice, and let me be a lazy runner at home, as long as I am blessed by the rain god.

In recent months, due to the discomfort caused by gastroesophageal reflux, as well as participating in the running group, I was inspired by the master coach, which made me determined to increase the amount of running. When you always think that life is fixed, in fact, there are still many details that need to be adjusted, and the body and mind are changing at any time, and even sometimes, it is not necessarily slower than the world.

In other words, feeling that the world is changing too fast is actually not often aware of the subtle changes in your body and mind. Or, life makes the mind rigid, and if you don't try to make some adjustments, it seems that you are used to seeing everything.

Of course, the rain god was on top of my head, joining forces with the wind god, and through my thin running cap, it hit my confidence. During the 9km run in the entire Riverside Park, I met a total of 5 runners, a group of 2 people and a group of 3 people. The only one running alone was myself. This morning, which was a little too lonely, made me cheer up and say good morning to the runners who insisted on running together.

Under the protection of the Rain God, the footsteps are naturally not cheerful, and the socks seep into the water on the side of the road, making the boundary between the shoes and the feet more blurred. And in that vague sense of running, I suddenly remembered the coach's running practice text on Facebook: "Giving up in the rain is never my option."

Getting to know a strong runner in real life is really a great way to motivate yourself. I also realized that at the moment when I saw the rain god coming and still resolutely ran out of the house, I had gained the freedom to practice running from the rain god.
