Movie Notes [Anya and the Witch] [アーヤと Witch]

The Japanese animation film, produced by Studio Ghibli, directed by Goro Miyazaki and planned by Hayao Miyazaki, is adapted from the novel "Earwig and the Witch" by British author Diana Wayne Jones.

The film tells the story of Anya, a little girl who grew up in an orphanage. One day, two strange men and women suddenly decided to adopt Anya. Although the ghostly Anya didn't want to leave the orphanage, she had to follow them. Turned out to be a magical wizard. In exchange for learning magic, Anya becomes the witch's assistant, living under the same roof with the talking black cat and the wizard. Day by day, the witch only instructed Anya to do chores and never taught her any magic. Anya, who felt deceived, decided to join forces with the little black cat to fight back against the witch.

I have to say that this is an extremely disappointing animated film, with a curious beginning, a process without a climax, and an ending without any explanation, just like a very exciting trailer, you only know the content after watching Really only the content of the trailer...

What's worse is the dubbing. The Japanese dubbing of the three protagonists, Toyokawa Etsuji, Terashima Shinobu and Heizawa Hirohiro, the voices are completely inconsistent with the characters, and people frequently make plays and are embarrassed. The 3D animation works shouldn't be so bad. The previous works are very warm and good. It should become better after a while. I didn't expect to endure it all the way to the end, and it's gone...
