How many uncomfortable conversations are you willing to have? What the Victory in Life Bible Taught Me

I've been unemployed for about the third week, and I haven't started looking for a job for a while, and I'm in a state of escape. Rest is to give a tired self time to repair.

//The following is an article I wrote on other platforms two months ago to share with you.

I've been unemployed for about the third week, and I haven't started looking for a job for a while, and I'm in a state of escape. Rest is to give a tired self time to repair.

In the past three weeks, I started to learn the programming language Python on my own, bought several books to read, and tried to practice the concepts in the books. A quote from the Victory in Life Bible: "If you only learn knowledge, you will become stupid; if you put it into action, you will become rich."

The "Victory in Life Bible" is the second time I read it. To be honest, when I read it for the first time, I didn't like it very much. Recently, I felt lost because I wanted to switch jobs, so I read this book in a jumping way again, only reading the chapters that fit my current mood, and using it as a reference book, I got a lot of benefits.

Then I will share my harvest in a jumping manner.

One week after I left my job, I put a lot of pressure on myself, eager to find a so-called career, and I was reluctant to open job search websites, but none of the industries caught my interest. Simply put, I just want to escape right now, get caught up in negative emotions, and feel that life is meaningless. Tony Robinson said, "The reason you're miserable is usually because you're focusing on yourself." This line fits my current whining mood, and after thinking about it, I try to get away from the victim. , focus on improving abilities, not emotions. He also said, "In a depressed emotional state, we can only see the problem, not the solution." Hope this can help you as well.

In addition to learning programming and reading, I also tried to be a freelancer today. (Since there is a chapter that asks readers to challenge their fears, I just….)

An American website called Fiverr is a medium for freelancers to take cases. I placed an advertisement called "Life Mentor", which was completely ad hoc. The content was to provide customers with half-hour telephone counseling. (Looks blind, doesn't it?)

An interesting thing happened, an Indian buyer sent me a private message first, saying that he was looking for a long-term friendship and a service where he could contact me anytime he wanted to chat (?). I asked him to bid first, and I could provide a 20-minute telephone consultation. He said that he wanted to clarify his needs first, and asked me to add him to Skype. I found it interesting at the moment, and wanted to take this opportunity to find out how to provide services. After all, I started it purely for fun. After that, he called me and told me about his entrepreneurial goals, job difficulties, etc. I just chatted with a stranger for 20 minutes. Although he didn't place an order at all in the end, and I didn't make any money because of it, it was a good experience! (After thinking about it, he was deceived by him haha!)

Sharing this experience, I hope it can give you the courage to try something new. You may feel scared, but you can only progress if you try to get out of your comfort zone!

Have you ever had a good friend in the past, but haven't been in touch for a long time? Call him! Many of the things you worry about may not happen, so you should worry if you don't practice them.
