We are at a critical time in the fight against climate change. At current rates, global warming could reach 3 degrees Celsius by 2100, well above the 2 degrees Celsius cap set in the Paris Agreement.

This catastrophe has continued to unfold. China, Germany and Belgium suffered unprecedented flooding in 2021. Severe heatwaves have claimed hundreds of lives in the US, Canada, Turkey and Greece. It is now clear that we need to act now. To this end, the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland in November will discuss how to seriously address the important issue of climate change.

Things have gotten worse since the last summit in 2019. The growing number of big companies linked to the COP26 shows that there is no chance of any "system change" for the governments gathered at the meeting. The convention will not offer any serious solutions, but it will be an important opportunity to organize and build real struggle. This is why the International Socialist Way (ISA) is mobilizing a large socialist force to Glasgow with a high profile.

Strikes and strikes against the system - rebuilding a militant climate movement

Form grassroots climate committees of youth and workers, stimulate your communities, schools, workplaces and unions from the bottom up, and create coordinated demonstrations and strikes to paralyze the economy and force real change.

Want democratic socialist planning, not market disorderly production

A system based on profit and competition cannot save our planet. In order to rapidly reduce carbon emissions, and at the same time ensure a better life and future for all, the first step must be the communalization of large conglomerates, combined with an international democratic socialist plan. At the end of the day, we can only control what we have.

Capitalism is destroying our planet, work and life

By overturning this system of exploiting people and plundering nature, we have the potential to build a new green economy, creating millions of sustainable, well-paying jobs. It is also a prerequisite for ending wars and conflicts, and providing a real way out for people displaced by the climate crisis.

International worker solidarity, not capitalist ethnic conflict

Oppose the US-China Cold War that weaponizes the climate crisis. Cancel all foreign debts, and abolish patents on green technology and medical technology. Knowledge, technology and resources should be shared on the basis of solidarity and cooperation among international workers.
