3/21: How to Read a Book

This is the Weekly Review on 3/15-3/21.

Last Saturday because of the fun party and class, I didn't go to the riverside walk, but the next day I was still in my seat.

The weather on Sunday swept away the rain for several days and was exceptionally sunny, but the temperature was not high, so I decided not to run. After all, with my high chance of catching a cold while running in cold weather, at this sensitive moment of the epidemic, it is scary to think about it.

I found that walking on the riverside is really a good time for reflection and planning. Thinking about the various possibilities for improvement in reading and writing, even when listening to Podcasts, it seems that some sparks can collide with the content. Of course, listening to harder topics is not suitable.

• YouTube: Learn to play Go in 30 minutes [Said by Li Ziran]

"Natural Li" is my favorite YouTube channel (of course, his works are published on many platforms at the same time, but I watch them all from YouTube, so I consider him a YouTuber).

This channel covers a wide range. In addition to sharing his various views as an entrepreneur, he occasionally talks about history, martial arts novels, and even wine tasting. The first video I got into the channel was the three-episode "Riemann Conjecture" series when he was just starting out. In short, it is a channel that suits my tonal appetite.

This episode is about Go. In just half an hour, naturally, it is not really teaching you, but arousing your interest in Go. As someone who doesn't understand Go and only read "The Soul of Chess", I can also watch it with relish. The last 15 minutes talk about the benefits of Go as a hobby and how a novice can progress.

• Podcast: Editor Pantry #89 3 Things I “Did Right” and “Wrong” in Running a Personal Brand Over the Years

I came into contact with the editor of the pantry last year, but I haven't listened to any episode of the show seriously. The reason is simple, I am not the main TA of the show: teleworkers and SOHOs.

This year, because I started writing articles, I also got a little bit of the word "personal brand", and the motivation to listen increased significantly.

It can be seen that she is working hard on this show, and the feeling of "sincere" wanting to share with you is well conveyed to readers and listeners. However, she also relies on this to make money, so business time is indispensable, and I use the APP's fast forward 30-second function to skip it.

If you really want to be self-employed and run a personal brand, this is a great place to start.

Don't get me wrong, it's just a small upgrade. Except for the appearance, almost all aspects have been improved a lot, and the price has also dropped a little. It's really a sincere revision.

This tutorial will be temporarily discontinued. I found that speaking in English, watching online courses is a bit boring.

For this kind of learning that requires interactive elements (dialogue), it may be better to take a physical class. The biggest obstacle to self-learning is boredom.

The "analytical reading" alone takes up a full seven chapters, which can be described as the core area of the whole book. I remember that it was very difficult when I read it before, and I hope it will be better this time.
