The self-discipline of a novelist

When I saw Balzac's writing method this morning, I suddenly thought of Haruki Murakami and Stephen King. And I found that these writers are highly disciplined, but there are still many differences. In terms of physical and mental health, the first is Haruki Murakami, the second is Stephen King, and the last is Balzac. Listen to me slowly:

Haruki Murakami: Insist on writing every day, and stop writing when you reach a certain number of words. In order to keep writing and keep my mind and body healthy, I jog every day. Because he believes that writing a novel is a process of constantly seducing the dark side of his heart and writing it down. If you rely on running to get rid of negative energy, you cannot continue to write.

Stephen King: Lock yourself in a room every day and keep writing until you reach a certain number of words. The rest of the day is followed by a lot of reading. I didn't specifically mention how he solved the psychological shadows accumulated by writing, but I think because he is a master of horror novels, maybe he likes these psychological shadows, because it can become the material for his writing. XD

Balzac: Writing daily, probably in an almost masochistic way because of the hardships of early life. I often write that my fingers are numb, my eyes are dim, and my temples are swollen. Because of this, the output is very high. Even more surprising is that almost every novel is an amazing work. But because of too much work, he died early.

Self-discipline is good, and physical and mental health is also important. So, I vote for Haruki Murakami. XD
