If you can, it is highly recommended to go abroad for half a year or even a year, and get to know the local people, so that you can have a different vision and worldview. Now, apart from being influenced by my family education, another experience that has transformed me is to go to Australia on a working holiday for two years.

Even working in Australia, the boss needs to put money into the pension account, but I found out that the boss didn't pay, because I didn't understand, so I asked the supervisor. As a result, the supervisor directly passed the Australian regulations to me, and asked me to pass this to the boss. The boss seems to be I didn't dare not to give it until I knew it, and later I got a small sum of money for it.

Australians taught me to enjoy work and life

Work hard when you are at work; have fun when you are off work. My Australian landlord and boyfriend, when they are free from get off work or on vacation, will take me to eat at restaurants they think are good, and even take me into a casino experience, let me know how to play the roulette, and even win 50 Australian dollars. They know that Taiwan actually has a responsibility system, and they find it unbelievable and injustice to work overtime without overtime pay, because in Australia, responsibility system is not allowed unless the salary is high enough to be at the supervisor level.

Aussies made me understand that qualifications shouldn't just be a tool for a raise

Instead, it is a way to go to further education when you find that your ability is insufficient in the workplace. Therefore, Australian universities are all for foreign students. It is a way to make money locally. Australians don’t go to university very much. Most of them study junior colleges. They learn the skills needed for work and start working. Just went to university.

Aussies made me accept that it's not wrong to like same-sex

There is no difference in the so-called love, so there is no need to feel that there is a problem or mistake in liking the same sex. I used to be a little depressed because I thought I was a different person, and I even wondered why I was different from others. It was not until I met Australia that I accepted this fact from the bottom of my heart and started to like myself like this.

Australians make me laugh from the bottom of my heart

In addition to scolding the Three Character Classic, my father would act if he didn’t listen to him. When I was a child, I was often afraid that my mother would be beaten to death by him. Since I was a child, living in such fear, it’s no wonder that I couldn’t be happy from the bottom of my heart. Until I went to Australia to meet Australian friends, I once asked me, "Why doesn't your smile seem to be smiling from the heart? I feel that you have a lot of bitterness in your heart. You can try to talk about it." After getting along with Australian friends, I realized that It was too late for my father who was abusive to affect my life, so I gradually let go. One day my Australian friend happily said to me, "I'm glad to see you finally smiling from the bottom of your heart!"

I don't like to worship foreigners and foreigners. The moon in foreign countries may not be round. Even Australian friends who come to Taiwan to play tell me that Taiwan has many good things that Australia does not have, which makes them like Taiwan. So I am still proud of being a Taiwanese, but I have learned from the different perspectives of Australians and made me a better me now!
