I heard that Xin Ruihua's morning tea on Main Street has launched new dishes, and I went to taste it at the invitation of a friend a few days ago. Perhaps because of the unblocking of the epidemic, it is more likely that Xin Ruihua has always been the first choice for morning tea, and it was full at 11 o'clock in the morning. Funny to say, a little bit of noise in the restaurant actually gave me a big appetite.

Morning tea can also be eaten as a full manchu feast

It has been a while since I have tasted Xin Rui Hua, and five of my Hong Kong friends and I decided not to avoid meat and vegetarian food and eat it with confidence. In addition to the new dishes introduced by the restaurant, as well as the basic dishes that should be included in morning tea such as shrimp dumplings and shumai, choose two dishes that you want to eat the most. The order list is tossed and turned in everyone's hands, and after ten minutes, the selection is completed, and the service staff is invited to place the order.

Everyone is discussing the travel plan after the epidemic has receded, and the dishes are served one after another like a water table. They took out their mobile phones to take pictures, and in an instant the round table was filled with porcelain plates and steamers... After careful calculation, there were actually 21 recipes!

Basic morning tea meals: fried spicy carrot cake, flying fish roe siu mai, honey char siu crisp, bean sprouts and scallop rice noodles, beef tendon tripe with sauce;

The restaurant's new meals: black pepper scallop shrimp, special golden sand pumpkin, salt and pepper spring fish, coconut milk osmanthus cake, ancient Fama cake, fried scallop with flying fish roe and taro, reed shrimp dumpling emperor;

Recommendations from friends: black truffle and fresh mushroom dumplings, red rice golden net fish paste rice rolls, chive fish paste pancakes, Baihua stuffed crab claws, farm egg powder, big pineapple buns, big fried dumplings;

I chose two of my favorites: Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab and Jinsha Fish Skin.


Count down your favorite dishes

Xin Ruihua's dim sum chefs are indeed very skilled. Whether it's carrot cake, siu mai, or char siew crisps, the ingredients are solid and the taste is delicious. Hong Kong friends in the same seat compliment them while eating. A few of my personal favorites are the beef tendon tripe with sauce, shrimp dumplings with asparagus, sweet-scented osmanthus cake with coconut milk, vegetarian dumplings with black truffle and fresh mushrooms, deep-fried soft shell crab and golden fish skin.

Black Truffle Fresh Mushroom Dumplings came out on top among more than 20 dishes. Bite the Q-tough outer skin, the aroma of mushrooms and truffles were mixed into the nostrils, and the mouth was spoiled by the soft and tender diced shiitake mushrooms. The beef tendon belly is better than plump and plump, the marinade is penetrating, and every bite is plump and tender. With the addition of diced asparagus, the shrimp dumplings have a crisper taste in addition to the seafood of the fresh shrimp.

The soft shell crab was as I expected, crispy and tender, full of crab flavor. The rare thing is that the crab is quite big, and only half of the juice is enough to satisfy people. The Jinsha fish skin is fried to a crisp, clanging sound when it is broken between the teeth; the aroma of salted duck eggs accompanied by the faint fishy smell of the fish skin, the whole is hot, crispy and fresh, which is comparable to the popular salted egg yolk fish skin snack.

The diamond-shaped coconut milk sweet-scented osmanthus cake has a milky white lower layer and a translucent amber-colored upper layer. It is inlaid with finely crushed osmanthus flowers. The obvious floral and almond flavors accompany the entrance of Q bomb jelly. It is a summer dessert. The big fried dumpling at the end is the finale, both beautiful and delicious. The service staff picked up scissors and cut the basketball-sized frying pile, which was turned into slices of triangular cookies in the video of everyone's mobile phone. The fried dumpling exudes a faint aroma of glutinous rice, because the syrup has a slightly maltose taste after being melted.

Among the dishes, I only tasted the farm egg powder . I broke the egg whites and fried them. After the pan was poured, they were drizzled with syrup. For me, it was both oily and too sweet. It was probably the only dish that I shot.

The morning tea for Hong Kong people is usually a meal while chatting, and this meal took us more than two hours. After leaving the restaurant, I took a walk on Main Street, and Guan Shan Ying, who opened early, was scratching her head on the branches. I thought to myself: Vancouver’s tea drinking level is truly unparalleled in the world, and having a morning tea in the spring season is definitely the best way to steal a half-day leisure. Way.
