Foo Fighters to play online on Facebook and Instagram after Super Bowl

Amid the media craze for Meta (Facebook), it seems that everyone has deep grievances against it. The most important thing should be that I really don’t understand how to contact fans and increase exposure and influence. Even if I really spend money on it, it may not be as effective as getting what you pay for.

Amid the media craze for Meta (Facebook), it seems that everyone has deep grievances against it. The most important thing should be that I really don’t understand how to contact fans and increase exposure and influence. Even if I really spend money on it, it may not be as effective as getting what you pay for.

But as such a large social media platform, it is impossible to let this situation go on like this. This weekend is the arrival of the Super Bowl, one of the most important times of the year in the United States. Taking advantage of this enthusiasm and enthusiasm, Meta will also present an online streaming performance in the metaverse that it is committed to creating immediately after the event. . And of course there will be content that combines VR and AR.

Let's find out together~

Meta has confirmed that it will be inviting Foo Fighters to rock its metaverse. The social media platform giant (also known as Facebook ) will host a free online concert of the Foo Fighters led by Dave Grohl on Sunday, February 13th, immediately after the Super Bowl. In addition to live streaming on Facebook and Instagram, Meta will also use its social VR app, Horizon Venues , to present a 180-degree virtual reality (VR) concert, airing the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers )show.

The show will be directed by renowned music video director and filmmaker Mark Romanek. A custom-made stage design is expected to be described as "a surreal convergence of physical, fantastical visual elements". The Foo Fighters are expected to play some seldom-performed repertoire — including songs the group hasn't released in the past. (as a surprise for a live show)

Dave Grohl said: "Foo Fighters love adventure and challenge - from the world's largest stage to the smallest club, to making movies and mini-series...and more, we've almost done it all! But we've never been with director Mark Romanek. Collaborated on a whole set of conceptual playlist content (including the first-ever live-streamed performance) as the most powerful VR technology will give every fan the best viewing seat ever. Join us from Foo Fighters Wishes Let's complete another achievement together on the list!"

For organizer Meta, the Foo Fighters event focused on Horizon Venues , which was designed and planned as an immersive "metaverse VR environment" where fans could use Meta Quest VR installations (ie. The well-known Oculus Quest in the past) uses a digital clone for various interactions. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has high hopes for the business opportunities and future prospects of the metaverse, and the company has invested more than $10 billion in 202 projects to build AR and VR products and services.

The Foo Fighters live stream on the Meta platform will begin on February 13 at 8pm PT or after the Super Bowl, whichever is later. The event will be free to the public and there will be no advertising or brand sponsorship. Content is produced by Supersphere and is being pre-recorded (there will be no live audience). The show is broadcast live on Horizon Venues, Foo Fighters Facebook Fan Page and Meta Quest Facebook Fan Page and Foo Fighters Instagram. The show will appear on Meta's Portal device and Facebook Messenger via Watch Together.

The Horizon Venues app features a virtual guest lobby where users can virtually meet friends and other fans before, during and after the Foo Fighters kick off their performances. The reception hall also has access to Horizon Worlds, where users over the age of 18 in the US and Canada will be able to participate in more football-themed games and experiences.
