Captain Doo Joon and member Dong Woon were once trainees of JYP Entertainment and trained with 2AM, 2PM and other members. Hyunseung was once a trainee of YG Entertainment and a reserve member of BIGBANG, but he also failed to make his debut at the beginning. Not only the members have rich qualifications and strength, BEAST also collaborated with the well-known Korean composer "Sinsadong Tiger" on many classic songs in the early days of their debut, so they are deeply loved by the public! The members have also been very active in variety shows and dramas. For example, Doo Joon starred in the Korean drama "Let's Eat Together", and his acting skills were highly recognized.

In 2011, BEAST released "Fiction", and the "Lengdu Boys Dance" with hands in pockets raised a lot of topics. And the song "Rainy Day" included in the same album was performed in the special performance of "Inkigayo", with the rain stage effect of the song title, because the rain was too heavy, the members were very embarrassed, and it became distressed and funny. In the same year, BEAST also performed on the MTV World Stage. It was the second time that a Korean group was invited to participate in this event after the JYP girl group "Wonder Girls".

In 2016, Xiansheng announced his withdrawal from the group due to the difference between his personal music concept and the group. At the end of the same year, the members left Cube Entertainment collectively, and set up a brokerage company "Around Us" the following year. They wanted to continue the group activities. The previous owner was registered, so the group changed its name to "Highlight" as a new beginning, and survived the white period of the military. After all the members were discharged from the army, they are still active, and the spirit of the group will not die!
