Community Activity Proposal | Pray with Poetry, Use Poetry for Situation

Grab the last hem of spring, and let us welcome a new season in prayer.

I had previously proposed the idea of praying with poetry , but unexpectedly, quite a few citizens were interested. Thank you all for your support, especially @yingxin for answering my many questions and helping me finally overcome all the entanglements and delays to officially launch this community event.

Here are the instructions for participating in the event:

1. Theme: Pray with poetry/Apply with poetry

Publish an article in Matters, choose a poem, and pray for one of your wishes; or choose a poem to suit the time and space environment. The essay should include a hymn and an original text explaining why you chose this hymn to pray, what you are praying for; or why you chose this hymn for the occasion, and what kind of time it should be.

2. Instructions for the selection of poems:

 1) You can be original or cite the works of others. Please indicate the author.
2) Both Chinese and English are acceptable. For other languages, please attach a Chinese or English translation. (If the poems are in Cantonese, Taiwanese, etc., please add necessary annotations as appropriate to facilitate readers in other languages. Thank you!)
3) Both classical poetry and modern poetry are acceptable.
4) Please try to paste the whole poem, unless the original poem is extremely long. If it is an excerpt, please specify.

3. Participation rules:

1) Publish articles that comply with the above rules and link this article . Depending on the theme, add the hashtags #praying with poetry or #with poetry in context. If there are overlapping topics, you can add two tags at the same time, but only count as one work.

2) Participants are invited to invite readers to leave a message in the comment area, explaining why they like and support the article. These reasons will be taken into consideration when selecting the [Proposer's Recommendation Award] XD

3) Event time: From the effective date of the proposal to 00:00 on September 27, 2021.

4) Each person can publish multiple works.

4. (said to be very leftist) bonus rules:

1) Participation Bonus: If the proposal is approved, all participating articles will share 40% of the Likecoin bonus equally. (ie, if you write two, it counts as two)

2) Clap Award: For the top 5 clapping hands , in addition to the participation award, 30% of the bonus will be divided equally. If there are multiple articles by the same person, only the one with the highest clapping count is counted. (That is, although you have written two articles, you will only win this award at most once)

3) Proposer's Recommendation Award: Based on the comments of each article + the proposer's selfish preference, 5 recommendation awards will be selected in addition to the applause award, and the remaining 30% of the bonus will be divided equally. The winners of the Referral Award and the Clap Award will not be repeated. (i.e., although you write two articles, you will only get at most one award in the Clap Award and the Referral Award)

Small note:

1. Why the deadline is September 27? Very subjective choice. Because the 2020 Taipei Poetry Festival opens on September 26, it is a special day for someone :) and September 28 is also a special day for me :) So set the day in the middle. It just so happens that today is also the 27th.

2. After the event ends, the tags (and this set of game modes) can still be used. I will keep paying attention, clapping my hands and leaving a message for everyone, and make a wish XD

3. Several friends have supported the previous informal proposal. I have been worried that everyone will make a mistake and misunderstand that it is a formal proposal. So, please @Matty help to see how to combine the calculation. Thanks!

4. This article was accidentally written too formal and serious. If you want to find inspiration and read more instructions, please go back to the previous article in the related works and take a look.

Hope you all have fun playing with poetry this (long) summer.

This is the first time I try to launch an event in Matters. If there are any shortcomings, please correct me and forgive me www.
