YouTube Learning Diary: Copyright and CC Creative Commons

Recently did several web-based co-authoring of the SCP Foundation (Wikipedia) on YouTube. The SCP Foundation is a bit like the dark fantasy style of "Black Mirror" , "Wonderful Story of the World" , and "Yin and Yang Demon Realm" . It is a " fictional " secret organization responsible for containing all kinds of things with abnormal properties. It is mainly contributed by the author. "abnormal".

The copyrighted material cited in the short film is actually the same as the citation of the university paper in the past. Unlike others who just add narration, I used the game Animal Crossing to supplement some important scenes, plus some personally designed infographics. The authorization form of the SCP Foundation is CC-BY-SA , which stands for "Name Marking-Share Alike". Just add the source to the description and release the 𧗠 product in the same authorized way. Later, others can remake based on my work.

There are some supplementary photos, like the recent work SCP-662 Butler's Hand Bell, which uses a photo from The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Although it is written in the public domain, I will still mark the source for the convenience of the audience, and I can only use the records of the most important thanks to the source organization.

The font of the video is taken from max32002/FakePearl of Github . This "fake pink round body" is based on the open source Chinese font of jf open pink round . The font is very suitable for Dongsen's cute style.

By the way, record the status of the channel in 2021:

Temporarily from November to January last year, there were 210 subscriptions and 200-3000 views for different videos over a week. 20,000 views in the past 28 days, about 1,000 hours, and a CTR of 6%.
In the past three months, 72% of viewer sources came from YouTube itself (recommended/searched). 56% of the audience are from Taiwan, and 30% are from Hong Kong. Eight to two in terms of sex, 35–44 at most (I thought 13–17 would be a bit more). Eighty percent of the views do not use CC subtitles. On weekdays, it will be watched first after five o'clock, and people will watch it all day on five or six days.
On average, at least two films are released per week, and each 10-minute film takes about at least 4 days to complete. Each clip is promoted in a way of "posting on the blog on the second day of publication, and on social networking sites/forums on the third day". Videos will be uploaded to LBRY (which is rarely used for the time being) before being put on YouTube or other video sharing sites.

The last appendix is my frequently used website

Note that the following websites have different authorization methods for each material

  • いらすとや Illustration House
The well-known Japanese national illustration library has only one artist and has been updated daily for nine years! For commercial use, no more than 21
  • Freesound.org

As the name suggests, a sound/sound effect library. This website is designed like social media. If I use the uploader's material, I usually leave the sentence "Apperciate" on their author page.
  • Openclipart.org
Most of the pictures are in SVG format (Tip: If you want to use SVG files on Keynote, you can first import and convert them into patterns through OpenOffice's Impress, and then save them as PPT format)
  • OpenGameArt.org
Mostly related images/sound effects from CC-0 old RPG games
