Stay Away from Anxiety | People with Mood Disorders: Anxiety is a Part of Life

Staying away from anxiety is a good topic, but a patient who is on medication for an adjustment disorder is telling everyone how to stay away from anxiety? Sounds absurd. So I would like to share with you our views on anxiety and how we deal with anxiety from the perspective of my illness.

Busy urban life and tight pace of life often leave us with nowhere to release our stress, causing problems with our mental health, which in turn leads to depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses.

Before we talk about this topic, we must first understand what anxiety is?

Anxiety is an inner feeling that cannot be seen or touched. It can only be experienced by oneself. It is very difficult to describe in words. Anxiety is a very common feeling. Everyone has experienced similar experiences, but they may not know that it is anxiety. To sum up the common experience of most people, anxiety is a vague and uncomfortable feeling, which makes people restless, unable to relax, and unable to concentrate, as if something bad is about to happen; but there are also many people who just feel To physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, sweating, tremors, etc., but no emotional changes. Simply put, "anxiety" is an emotion of fear, worry, and tension.

When anxiety cannot be ruled out for a long time, it is easy to become depression. Anxiety and depression cannot be relieved for a period of time but less than six months is called adjustment disorder (the author's current stage), and if it exceeds six months, it is called depression.

Tell me about my personal experience

I am really contradictory. In addition to being very bold since I was a child, I was also very nervous (this sentence seems strange?!) Welcome to reading the bold deeds As for the easily nervous part, I have been afraid to answer questions in front of the whole class since I was a child, Every time the teacher asked me to speak, I would start to tremble. It is strange to say that this problem has not improved since the university... For this broken problem, I have really made a lot of efforts. Participated in speeches, read aloud, and even won the third place in Taichung City (cough, this is another story, I will share it with you next time) In short, I really tried my best, but I still couldn't overcome it. I started to tremble. Even though they were all familiar faces, I still started to get anxious uncontrollably. The podium seemed to be my cover, but it wasn’t right. I was the squad leader and often managed the order on the stage!

Let me talk about another thing that easily makes me anxious, scheduling time, I often feel anxious about time, obviously, things that can be completed in half an hour, if I arrange time, I will set aside two hours, which is exaggerated I know, but if I only schedule 45 minutes, I get panicky and my heart beats faster, especially when I'm sick.

I usually do not have a detailed time schedule for my own travel, I only book a few destinations, and the rest of the time depends on the mood at the moment. Don't have too much pressure on the target. The panic will dissipate. Gradually, I like to travel alone. I don't need to take into account the emotions of others, and I can do whatever I want.

What can be done to turn stress into motivation?

Is pressure really scary? I don't think so, pressure is fuel, and we, like cars, can't go without fuel, but too much fuel can cause an explosion. Appropriate pressure allows us to move forward, but excessive pressure can lead to disasters, just as water can carry a boat and capsize it.

How to convert stress, my answer is very simple, just use it up~ Whenever something passes, the stress will naturally disappear.

I have been affected by depression for almost two months, and I have been taking medicine for more than half a month. Faced with anxiety, I have gradually been able to coexist peacefully with it. My biggest experience during this time is not how to stay away from anxiety, but how to deal with anxiety.

My answer is: set yourself a goal to move forward

Facing depression is a bit like taking an adventure in a haunted house. There will be ghosts at any time, at the corner, on the side of the road, and even just making a sound will make your scalp numb. Some people are not afraid of entering people, and some even I find it interesting, but for the little ones, it will kill them, ranging from screaming and trembling to coma and death.

The darker it is, the more afraid you will become. The gloom and depression in your heart will continue to accumulate, and finally you will completely block your sight. This is how depression (anxiety disorder) is formed. If you want to stay away from him, find a goal for yourself and keep moving towards the goal. No matter how many "ghosts" around you, no matter how scary the voices, will eventually become the background.

Goals are like exits. Continuing toward the fear of the unknown will always come to an end. Medication is like a flashlight in the dark. It can ease our emotions, but it cannot lead us to the goal. The company of friends and family will help us in You give comfort when you are frightened, and you will be courageous together on an unknown journey.

Thinking of the goal, no matter how much fear will dissipate, people who are confused, don't give up, only be firm in yourself, you can step out of the haunted house and return to the happy game field.

Epilogue

Anxiety will not disappear out of thin air once it occurs. All we can do is ignore it and let it become a thing of the past. This is what I have thought since I was sick. I used to think that anxiety can be relieved. If there are people with emotional disorders around you, please give us a little tolerance, we are not willing but we can't control ourselves, anxiety becomes a part of our life, we all pray that we can overcome the disease and feel the colorful world again.

I use my perspective to describe what mental patients think [stay away from anxiety], which may be different from your thoughts. It doesn’t matter if this article does not meet the regulations of this event. I hope more people will read and understand our thoughts. Instead of following us carefully, worrying about us, we are fine, we can live a normal life, we are not a burden to society, and we don’t like the colored eyes of the public. Thank you for your understanding.
