"Golden Kamuy"│Introduction to the Story & Recent Activities in Japan

This week, I read volumes 1 to 25 (250 words) of "Golden Kamuy" (Taiwan's single book is only posted here).

I thought I could read it slowly until I picked up the last one, but I couldn't stop one after another. The story and storyboards were very smooth, and the laughs were well arranged. Made my whole person into the world of manga, causing a bit of withdrawal symptoms now hahaha.

Fortunately, the fourth season of the animation will be released in October this year!

The serialization of "Weekly YOUNG JUMP" started in August 2014 and ended on April 28, 2022 (314 episodes). I didn't know this work until I watched the anime for one to three seasons last year. I can't tell how it felt, I just knew that I liked it very much. I only started reading the manga after I knew the manga was over.

The animation is probably due to the scale of the comics and the smoothness of the broadcast, so the animated version broadcast on TV removed many paragraphs and released it in the form of OVA. It's no wonder that there are some places where I find it strange, "Why is he here?", "Why is this person acting together?", "When did they form an alliance?"

In Japan, the single volume is currently in 29 volumes, with 30 and 31 volumes to be published in June and July (finished). I am looking forward to Taiwan's release of the single book as soon as possible, but I am very reluctant to read it. I always feel that my thoughts are tied to each character in the story. They are happy and I am happy, they are sad and I am sad... ah! The skill and ambition of Mr. Noda Tomoya really are not covered! The most admirable thing is that his skill can fully support his ambition!

The background of the story is set in the Russo-Japanese War. Legend has it that the Ainu people have a batch of gold worth 800 billion. For some reason, there is only one person who knows where the gold is. The only person who knows is in Abashiri Prison, and he tattooed the secret code of the treasure location in a tattoo. 24 different prisoners. Everyone is staring at the gold, even the jailers.

So the jailer became greedy and wanted to unlock the tattoo codes on the 24 prisoners, and he planned to take these people out, but in fact he wanted to kill these prisoners to monopolize the gold. However, Abashiri Prison is the most heavily guarded prison. The prisoners are all vicious criminals. The guards are not the opponents of the prisoners at all. The guards are killed by the prisoners. Gold, or stay away from gold...

And the stage of the whole adventure story spans the dark hatred between Japan, Ainu and Russia. The most interesting thing is that Noda Tomo-sensei has painted Ainu's culture, food, folk tales, beliefs, hunting methods, and wisdom of life without any sloppiness. Real characters and character prototypes from various places are all involved in this golden battle in Noda-sensei's unique way!

Involving so many people, everyone's story, development, behavior, and goals are still handled very well. It is really an ambitious work. The teacher is even more confident in "Golden Divine Power", and hopes to welcome more new readers to join through free methods, and to welcome the end of the story with everyone.

The story is wonderful! Very exciting! The teacher's style is even more beautiful!

The acknowledgement list at the end of each single book is very long. There are cultural associations, experts and scholars in various places, which makes the depth and thickness of this work more solid and rigorous. Because the main stage is in Hokkaido, the Hokkaido Museum has also launched a series of related exhibitions and themes. This is one of the reasons why I am more envious of Japanese manga works. The manga made me want to visit a lot of places, such as Hokkaido on the main stage, as well as the hometown of Hita, Mr. Araki/Katsumi's hometown of Sendai!

Mr. Noda said in the merged issue of Weekly Young Jump 22 & 23 that the next one will be a hockey story for high school students in Hokkaido, which is his first full-length serialized work "Supinamarada!" (スピナマラダ!). Evolution work.
