First time using Logbook (Logbook #463: What I want to ask about cryptocurrency)

On the Logbook No. 463, Reading Bigen launched a co-creation project titled "What I Want to Ask About Cryptocurrency". This is my editorial record as the third best.

Thanks @readbigeng for launching the Logbook co-creation activity. On the Logbook No. 463 , with the topic "What I want to ask about cryptocurrencies", everyone continued to write down their questions about cryptocurrencies.

I myself am the third baton of this event. Although this matter is not like the time pressure of passing the baton in a big team, in fact, during the whole process of participation, I am really looking forward to and afraid of being hurt ( Eh?)

Because of the relationship before the baton is full, before handing over the baton, I was actually a little worried that I would miss the notification (maybe I was afraid of losing the baton when I passed the baton again). In fact, when I saw the notification, I was about to connect the wallet to start researching, but I found that after connecting to the wallet, I still couldn't write to this Logbook. The reason is suspected to be that when the previous stick used the transfer function, there was something wrong, and the transfer was not successful. Just try again.

The logbook number 463 looks like this after I hand it over to the next one~

Write a message on the Logbook

After the Logbook was successfully handed over to me, an unexpected situation also occurred: I tried several times, and every time I wanted to write content, the following system notification would pop up

Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).

It seems to be related to the browser (original use Brave), I am a little lazy to find which side of the setting is wrong, just change a browser (change to Sidekick) and it will be fine.

The whole process is like this: when I connect the wallet, the "🖋" pen symbol appears on the screen, and when I click on it to prepare to write the content, the line of words will pop out.

Basically, Logbook's text editor is very intuitive, H2 to H4 size, bold, italics, citations, numbered lists, hyperlinks... These basic editing functions are available, and can also be divided into lines (after all, it is edited using Markdown. device). But in edit mode, there doesn't seem to be a difference between a line break within a paragraph (shift+enter) and a paragraph (only enter). I always use enter, and the line spacing between paragraphs is no different from the general line spacing at first glance (I did not use tools other than the naked eye to measure), so I left two full lines at the beginning of each paragraph. blank, thinking I'm writing an essay (actually I don't do that when typing on a computer). After sending it out, I found out that in the final screen presentation, the line spacing of subsections and branches has been adjusted.

As the number of characters in the text increases, the gas fee amount displayed on the upper left will keep going up. Thanks to Matters for giving me 0.5 $MATIC, so that I can write without worry ~ don't worry about gas fee explosion.

Question: Do cryptocurrencies really have a safe-haven function?

Although the content of my message has been engraved on this Logbook, I am still copying and pasting my own message. I welcome everyone to discuss this topic together under this article~

In this Ukraine-Russian war, cryptocurrency is often seen in the news. Whether it is Ukraine after the war, found that the number of transactions to buy cryptocurrencies has increased, and stablecoins have even experienced a premium; the Ukrainian government has opened up cryptocurrency donations; or after Russia was subjected to economic sanctions, the outside world is worried about whether Russia will use cryptocurrencies. Avoid economic sanctions, etc. You can see a lot of discussion about cryptocurrencies.
On the other hand, now in developing countries , some countries choose to issue their own central bank digital currency (eg Nigeria and Bahamas), and some countries choose to use cryptocurrencies as legal tender (eg El Salvador) to solve economic problems.
What I am curious about is, does cryptocurrency actually have a safe-haven function in these situations? Can cryptocurrencies really solve the problems of the traditional financial system?
For example, in case of unfortunate one day, we are really faced with a similar situation, and cryptocurrency has become one of the channels through which we can take our assets with us. country”, what is the local government’s attitude towards cryptocurrencies. There are actually many types of cryptocurrencies, and governments of various countries may take different approaches to cryptocurrencies depending on the currency or type (eg stable currency).
Although it is difficult to discuss specific posts in the Logbook, I would like to use this Logbook (thanks for reading the plan of the pen farming !) to cast problems on the chain to attract more ideas, and listen to everyone's opinions :)

Post a message on the Logbook

The next step is to post a message.

Not sure why the first release failed, the screen recording below is the second attempt. At the time, I was worried that I would fail again, or that I found out that there were two identical messages on this Logbook, and I was embarrassed. Fortunately, this didn't happen in the end (so...this Logbook had 3 almost identical messages at the beginning, did you really do it 3 times?)

Press "Publish", jump out of the little fox wallet, slide to the bottom and press "Confirm", after waiting for the Logbook to run for a while, you can jump back to the Logbook to see the latest content on the Logbook.

After posting the message, I also found a very interesting thing. I don’t know why the message of the first stick (that is, reading the pen farming) has a title, and the second stick ( @ Potato Fried Green Pepper) does not have a title. In fact, I went to my blank Logbook to look at it. The background editor should not have a title field. Maybe when entering text, the first line should be set to a title such as H2, and it will generate "There is a built-in" The effect of the title field"?

This may ask how Bigenda added the title when it was operated at the beginning. The person who takes over the baton can also try it. After manually setting the first line as the title, what will happen to the result.

Good job!

After the message was successfully released, the last and most important task was to pass the baton to the next person.

The whole operation process is shown in the video. I didn't copy it to the other party's address at first (paste it as the URL of the Logbook co-creation activity page), but I was afraid of making mistakes after copying and pasting it (in the end), and I even checked the address a few times. Is there anything wrong...

After pressing the "Gift 🎁" button, you will need to fill in a good wallet address. At this time, you need to go back to the activity page of the Logbook co-creation activity , find the next stick in the order of sticks in the message area at the bottom, click the other party's name to jump to the other party's personal page, then click the wallet address on the other party's personal page, and copy the other party After entering the wallet address, jump back to the Logbook page, paste the wallet address of the other party, and then press Send.

The whole process went smoothly. After sending out, as long as you refresh the page again, you will find that the "🖋" and "Gift🎁" buttons are gone.

write at the end

This Logbook co-creation activity initiated by Reading Bigen is scheduled to end on 4/15, and it will end early if the number of people reaches 30. But after the event of passing the baton, there are follow-up event planning, such as: community voting, sorting into Q&A episodes and so on. I am looking forward to what interesting questions this event can raise at the end, and what things (may be good or bad) you found in the process of co-creation.

I also have a Logbook ( number 44 ) on hand, which is currently completely empty. Since the Logbook is transferable, I feel that a co-creation plan should also be launched to maximize the value of this Logbook. But I can't think of a good theme right now 😂

If someone does not have a Logbook, but has curatorial ideas, please leave a message below and let me know, maybe we can start another co-creation project together :)
