[Watching Movies] Netflix: "Into the beat" ~ Similar but different dance movies

foreword

It's another Netflix series I haven't seen for a long time~ I haven't watched it very seriously recently, one is because I have no particular interest (and I don't want to burn my brain), and the other is because I am irritable at work and lose my patience.

This time I'm introducing a German dance movie I saw two days ago. I think it's a good time to pass the time. I didn't expect it to be very special, so I thought I could write a short feeling!

Short sense is a personal bias, please watch selectively.

Chinese translation: dance with your heartbeat

I don't think it's very important for dance movies to explode or not, because what we expect to see is not a plot, but a wonderful dance scene that cannot be described in words... So there is no lightning protection.

Into the beat Chinese translation: dance with the heartbeat, it is a title that is very close to the content of the movie, it can be said that the title is an outline.

What is the outline? ↓

[Should a ballet girl come into contact with hip-hop, follow in the footsteps of her parents or bravely pursue a new love? 】

That's right, after just two lines, it's equivalent to watching the whole movie...

It's another movie with an outline that is the whole film, but it doesn't matter, because the dance is the point!

This German film has all the elements of a dance movie you could want:

❶The stage of cooperation between the hero and heroine

It's a classic and must-have. This one doesn't take the battle route, so the most common dances are the male and female lead dances, or solo dances. Mainly hip-hop, the ballet part is just a background element.

In the middle is a sentimental(?) dad, and on the right is a strict ballet teacher in blue. Everyone else is a classmate (✘) a competitor (✔)

Resistance to chasing dreams.

As the outline said, in such dance movies, the most common one is the "villain" of ballet... Another very common one is the opposition of parents and elders.

In Into the beat, the special part is that he assumes that the heroine's father is also a ballet dancer, or a famous one, so her dance practice since childhood can also be said to be a family background. And my father had a stage accident not long after the movie started and could no longer dance...

It is simply the standard configuration of the protagonist in ordinary dance movies! If this is the story of playing Dad, then we can see Dad finding the second spring in hip-hop...

Off topic, I think Dad is pretty handsome👍

❸A dance base where you took part by accident.

As a ballet dancer, how do you suddenly get hooked by hip-hop in your regular routine? Usually injuries, school transfers, family accidents, etc. This movie is a family accident, but the execution was handed over to the accident... This accident is very mysterious, just repaired an iron horse, and watched a group dance as soon as it was repaired. The larger dance scene in the film is here, and the other scene is the first time the heroine dances hip-hop together. I quite like it because the picture is neat and the action is full of power.

Green leaves that hold the atmosphere.

Dance movies generally don't have too deep (brain-burning) content, but it can be boring to focus on the protagonist all the time. At this time, these compelling little supporting characters are needed to create conflicts, or to fill the gaps with atmosphere, and to affect the development of the plot.

I think these two brothers are the best in this series, and they are full of love~

❺The Audition/Competition of the climax of the ending credits.

Every dance movie must have a big hit at the end, and then HE, which ends happily. This movie is very unavoidable, and it is even more unavoidable that the game will never see the process of other contestants, the protagonists will definitely play whether it is too late or not, and the protagonists will always win, no matter what happens between them.

Looking at it like this, it seems to be a very routine movie, so what's the difference?

I think it's in the details.

When shooting some scenes with rich emotions, you can directly notice the expressions and eyes of the actors. Although the performances of the male and female protagonists are slightly jerky and sometimes exaggerated, through these pictures, it is easy to be brought into the story setting.

Strictly speaking, the dance that attracts the most attention in this dance movie is not the dance. The dance superimposed on the layers of routines is not much better than other movies .

Instead, the outline background story, which was very unimportant at the beginning, became more vivid through the shooting technique. There are many solo dance scenes of the hero and heroine in the film, which all happened in line with the plot at that time. Dancing has become their way of expressing their emotions, and every action and look complements the content of the plot . Separation may not score high, but 1+1 does have ≧2.

in conclusion

❶ The protagonist is not my type, so I didn't finish it carefully, but it's almost the same if I jumped to watch it... If I pass the time, I think I can watch it while I'm eating, because it's a bit slow to watch without jumping. People who like to watch dance pictures may not be very satisfied, because the dance movements in it are more like an extension of emotions, rather than a "complete" performance.

❷ Because my father acted so well, although I wanted to discuss the matter of chasing dreams during the process, I unknowingly stood by my father's side... From my father's standpoint, this daughter really broke his heart, right? He was hit by his career, and his daughter was his pride since he was a child, but in the end he chose to give up ballet and chose the road he had not traveled... poking his heart.

❸ For the dance movies I watched on Netflix, this is not a lighthearted movie, and the emotions are full of tangle. I like the little details in it, but I don't watch it repeatedly (including the dancing scenes).

Other dance movies I've watched recently:
