【Prepared Cooking Ingredients】Electric Pot Cooking Weekly Dinner to Save Money~Coke Braised Pork/Cheese Scrambled Egg/Sweet Potato Rice

After the white sauce stewed rice that was a bit unsuccessful last week (too much), I tried to grab the portion of the week's dinner again. I didn't expect it to be very successful this time... But I didn't take a picture in the middle 😓

In fact, the amount is still not very good (a little more. And the fresh-keeping box is too full), it is estimated that it should be enough to cook it again!



This week's dinner is:

  • electric pot cola braised pork
  • sweet potato rice
  • scrambled eggs with cheese

Freeze four boxes of 670ml in a glass-separated fresh-keeping box, and put two in an ordinary fresh-keeping bento box and refrigerate .

Refrigerated or frozen meals and side dishes should be separated as much as possible. It is better to eat them within two days if they are refrigerated, so reserve the servings on Monday and Tuesday and put them in the lower shelf of the refrigerator; for the remaining four days, freeze them first and eat them later. Lay down the layer in advance the day before to thaw slowly.


After actually heating the microwave, I found that even if I got the lower layer the day before, there is still a problem of overheating when I want to eat it, so if the refrigerator temperature is always too cold like my old refrigerator, it is best to eat it the day before the lower layer . You can take it out in the afternoon and thaw it at room temperature .

Prepare in advance:

  • Cut the pork belly into pieces, the size as you like.
  • The dried bean curd is cut into two triangles, the tofu can be cut into six pieces, which is exactly one piece a day, and the bamboo wheel and rice blood are also cut into small pieces, which are the size that is convenient to put in the lunch box.
  • 6 small good morning sweet potatoes, cut into pieces at a time, and cook with 2 cups of rice.
  • Beat 6 eggs first.

Cooking process:

  • Cook the sweet potatoes with the rice, start preparing the next steps while you wait for the rice.
  • Dry fry the pork belly directly in the pan until slightly charred (or adjust it according to personal preference). You don't need to put oil, but when you fry it, the pork fat will be forced out.
  • After the pork is in the pan, use the remaining oil to scramble the eggs. A good pan is supposed to not stick to the pan, but if you are worried, you can put more oil. Just melt the cheese slices directly over the eggs while heating before eating.
  • Put all the ingredients to be marinated into the pot, add a cup of soy sauce, 2.5 cups of cola, an appropriate amount of oyster sauce and rice wine for flavor enhancement, a cup of water in the outer pot starts to steam, stir it up and you can take it out of the box, remember to try not to pack it. Scoop with the marinade, because the ingredients will become more and more salty when soaked in the marinade.

The seasoning part can be adjusted according to your own taste, but I think the ratio of soy sauce and cola is 1:2.5, which is just right, not too salty, and moderately sweet and salty.



Results review:

  1. Rice should be 1-1.5 cups more suitable, because the amount of sweet potatoes is large and the lunch box needs to reserve space .
  2. If the amount of rice is corrected, 6 eggs should be fine. If I cook it with 2 cups of rice and sweet potatoes, the number of scrambled eggs should be reduced to 4.
  3. There are too many ingredients for the braised pork, and if there are many parts, it is good that someone eats it together as a dish... If you only prepare it by yourself, it is best to be accurate in the amount . For example, a piece of tofu, three pieces of dried bean curd, two balls, etc., plan according to the size of a lunch box .
  4. You can buy ground meat and noodles separately. After all the ingredients are packed into the lunch box, the remaining marinade can be marinated again, or you can mix dry noodles directly with the sauce, which is a cheap and simple meal 😂



The 670ml glass crisper is actually very small ... It's not easy to pack, and it seems that there are few. However, when I actually ate it, I found that I could actually eat enough ! Probably a normal amount, right? Because there are large and small compartments, you can put half a bowl to one bowl of rice in the small compartment ( but one bowl will be full ), and the dishes can be enlarged to better design the menu.

It’s a pity that there are no green vegetables this time. Because I want to prepare a week’s dinner in the easiest and labor-saving way, I chose braised pork. I don’t think it would be suitable to put vegetables in it. Plus, I don’t really like freezing, thawing and reheating green vegetables… To be honest It 's just for peace of mind .

The only suitable place for bento dishes is probably broccoli, but it is still not recommended , because even the most rotten broccoli will become soft and rotten due to cooking, freezing and microwave, and the color is not green (the dish that failed last week was in this way).

So for example, the dishes I chose this time, although not very nutritious, at least have eggs, meat, beans, and cheese, and the rice also has less starch and more sweet potatoes.

It is very suitable for foreign foodies to save money and do not need a kitchen to try. If you want to eat vegetables, you can buy additional green vegetables, eat them after the meal , or prepare fruits (I mainly focus on fruits this week) to supplement nutrition.

If money and taste are not a problem, white rice can be replaced with healthy grain rice, and the side dishes can also choose healthier ingredients, avoiding processed products.



This week's dinner cost more than 400 yuan, and the rest of the money bought frozen fried rice for lunch, some fruits, and more brewed drinks. The result was about 1100-1200.

Previously, when I got up early at 4:00 according to the plan, I cooked all three meals by myself, but I could actually control the level of 1,000 yuan a week . However, it takes time to cook every day, and the work and rest must be very restrained . After a period of time, it is natural to give up 😂

But getting up at 4:00 is really great. I feel like there is a lot more time, but sometimes I am a little confused about the menu...

I don't plan to return to this for the time being, I still want a relaxed and happy life👍
