The Fed will be more hawkish

There will be a regular rotation of voting seats on the 2022 Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

The four hawkish regional Fed presidents, Kansas City, St. Louis, Cleveland and Boston, will replace Atlanta, according to the Wall Street Journal. (Atlanta) Fed President Bostic, Chicago (Chicago) Fed President Evans, Richmond (Richmond) Fed President Barkin and San Francisco (San Francisco) Fed President Daly.

Among the four new votes, Kansas City Fed President Esther George is one of the most hawkish figures in the Fed; Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester also tends to be more hawkish than other members.

All in all, this year's voting committee has a more "hawkish" stance than last year's voting committee. The most obvious is that the more "hawkish" Cleveland Fed President Mester replaced the well-known dove, Chicago Fed President Evans. , the overall position of the other vote committees that were replaced is also dove.
