[Matters 60] Zakynthos in Memories (2)

(edited)
While editing the picture, I sighed at the beauty that I want people to embrace again.

What happened in this article was the itinerary of the earlier visit in the Longdong article.

This was the second day spent in Zakynthos at the time. Please refer to this article for the various tragedies of the previous day.

I finally got a car. The main goal of the day was to visit Mizithres Island and Porto Roxa Beach, but I didn’t expect to have a meal before arriving at Mizithres Island. We visited two small attractions first. This article is to record/share the beauty before arriving at Mizithres Island.

In the car, relying heavily on the inaccurate Google Maps to find the way.

Due to the lack of sleep the day before, the delayed flight and the late delivery of the car, I reluctantly walked to Cameo Island to visit. After returning to the B&B, I was completely exhausted because of my good friend. After being paralyzed for a while, my husband returned to the room with food. After a brief meal, I supported my body to take a bath, brushed my teeth, and finally fell asleep. This sleep went straight to nearly nine o'clock the next day.

When I woke up, I found that my eyelids were itchy, only to find that my eyelids had been bitten. Since I haven't encountered mosquitoes in Germany for too long, this moment makes people feel that Zakynthos really looks like Taiwan!

The scenery on the way is beautiful. Often there are olive groves on either side.

The road to Zakynthos is not particularly smooth. And it reminds me of Taiwan everywhere.

The car was driving, and the time came to half past ten unknowingly.

Why does this scenery feel like it's opening to the south?

On the way up slowly, we turned a few corners. Originally, we wanted to try our luck to see if there was a small shop where we could buy some bread and water. For a long time, I didn't even see a trolley on the road.

It was good to be leisurely, but we started to get hungry after we left without breakfast.

Tabepna Anemomylos The Windmill Restaurant.

Although there are always a lot of emergencies when going out to play, I'm the kind of person who hates changing itinerary when it's not necessary (well, I'm the kind of person who googles Google when someone goes out with me) Maps and all available information, people who have arranged three meals/two meals and the itinerary to go to each time point. But there were various delays the day before, and the physical strength was not enough, so I could only do whatever I wanted at that time. Generally speaking, I am used to preparing water, bread, etc. in my backpack in advance. If the arranged restaurant is temporarily closed / there is no way to go there for some reason, I can have more time to travel, and also avoid the situation where I am unfamiliar with my life and may fall into a situation of taking advantage of it. .)

But that day, we went to Tabepna Anemomylos The Windmill restaurant for dinner. (Of course, research the price outside the door first.)

The view from Tabepna Anemomylos The Windmill.
The decoration of the restaurant is simple and you can see the sea in the distance.

Precisely because it was partly because of the stomach that sang the empty city plan and pushed us, and partly because of accidental hits, it happened that only this restaurant was open before and after the mountains. We had a simple meal, and at the same time, we met the enthusiastic boss who introduced us not far away. "Keri" at the place (that is, the blue bay in the picture above).

There are two Keri located at the southwest end of the whole Zakynthos Island, one refers to the mountain, and the other refers to the town by the sea. When I first arranged the itinerary, I was very curious about why there were two Keri. The boss said with a smile, think of it as a code name for that area!

Since we told the boss that we were going to Mizithres Island, we didn't have to go through Keri.

Unexpectedly, the boss recommended the small bay in Keri City, and said, "There are sometimes turtles there!"

When I heard the keyword sea turtle, I didn't even think about the reasonable result, so I pulled my husband and said, "Let's go and have a look!"

But I later learned that the turtles that the boss said Keri had were seen on the outer islands not far from Keri, not near the town.

The car that accompanied us for seven days.

After the meal, I said thank you to the boss again and drove to Keri town. Before entering the town, we found a small pebble beach close to the coast but also outside Keri town, parked the car between two trees to avoid the sun, and walked towards the pebble beach.

On the island of Zakynthos, it was 30 degrees in the day and day, and I hadn't been tested by the scorching sun for a long time.

Waving Greek flag.
Super beautiful sea. Not many people, very quiet.
The local boat owner is super powerful and pulls the boat directly. (Although it's on the water, it still doesn't feel light)

After parking the car and basking in the midday sun, we finally arrived at the Keri coast.

At that time, I was very grateful to the pine trees by the sea for helping us shade a lot of sunlight. It was also at this time that I realized the importance of hats (straw hats) and sunglasses.

Stand under the pine trees and enjoy the sea view.

Looking back at the photos now, I would call it a beautiful view through the photos, but in fact this is more beautiful and cleaner than what I saw with my own eyes. It was really comfortable to let the water lap gently on the instep, and for a moment a lazy thought flashed: Otherwise, let's not go to Mizithres Island.

Since we were only full, my husband and I were a bit lazy, we found a seat while sliding on the unstable cobblestone, and finally decided to sit for 15 minutes before setting off.

Boatman cleaning the boat.
The masts and mountains in the distance are super beautiful. The fly in the ointment of this photo is that when you see the sea with your own eyes, the water is clearer!

Looking at the clear sea water, the breeze brings the salty taste of the sea and makes people intoxicated. At that moment, I was really willing to lie down and sleep by the sea with the ground as the bed and the sky as the quilt.

The stone is super slippery, but luckily I don't scratch my feet.

However, as a realistic and a bit greedy traveler, although we were extremely reluctant to leave this quiet and less disturbed place, we finally got up and walked to the car park.

Another round of baking, and the feet that had just stepped on the water were immediately dry.

And I also thought, maybe it’s time to refill the bottle of water when I pass by the town (the water on the island is not as drinkable as in Germany.) So I decided to suspend the refill in the town.

The beach of Keri town.

Once in town, we still couldn't find a parking space.

Many people in this area went to the harbour to swim in the sea!

In the end, we reluctantly found a location near the port that didn't count as a parking space and stopped, wanting to say hurry up to buy something and return to the car immediately.

A view of Keri town.

Unexpectedly, from the parking lot to the only two small shops in Keri town, I still took a lot of photos.

A small town surrounded by mountains and sea, very beautiful.

Couldn't resist taking another picture from this angle.
At that time, I really wanted to tread water again, but the time was really limited.

Sometimes I feel so timid that I don't dare to sit still. It sounds like hard work, but in fact it is greed. During the trip, I always want to take pictures, and I also want to go to more scenic spots. When I return to the place where I temporarily live, I want to write down my current feelings, and I want to do many, many things, but I can’t be as quiet as the Europeans. For the next hour or two, sit leisurely by the sea to enjoy the scenery, listen to the sea, feel the wind, and feel the scenery.

Yearning for it.

But now I look back and organize the photos, and I also think, maybe the action at that time was for this moment.

The sea is very clear.

In fact, when I came to study in Europe, I always wondered why everyone lived in such a leisurely manner. Quite often, it would take more than two hours for my classmates to eat lunch and drink coffee/afternoon tea. In the evening, many people had a party or went to the bar. Five or six hours a night was gone. In the end, it came down to my own ability. Not enough - If you don't work hard enough, you can't have a satisfactory result in your schoolwork.

Tonight, maybe I will dream of this ocean again.
It really made me forget. There is one more item on the list of life after returning to Germany: revisiting Zakynthos.

Such an analysis is relieved. Everyone is different.

Maybe I still haven't fully learned the wisdom of "hurry up and don't rush", but through external things and internal reactions and communication, I will always gradually figure out a way of life that suits me. And since I depend on it when I travel and like to take pictures, I may be very restless in the eyes of others, how can I go out and travel and be so busy, but keep it like this for the time being!

The scene of rushing up the hillside. The island in the distance is a bit like Guishan Island~

After buying supplies, I sat back in the oven-like car, shifted the car back and forth many times, and finally drove out of the suspended port area. Before leaving Keri, when we checked the way with a local restaurant, we were mistaken for a customer who was preparing to eat. It was embarrassing to say that it was not a meal, but just wanted to confirm the direction. Although the owner was a little disappointed, he kindly pointed to a steep slope, saying that if you drive up, you can pick up the road to Mizithres Island.

The steep slope should be 35 degrees or even 40 degrees (?) The math is not good, but in just over 100 meters, we rose from the level of the bay to the height above which overlooks the sea.

The sea is really clear!

This series of photos was rushed uphill, and I quickly begged my husband to let me press a few photos on the side of the road. There were no cars on the road at that time, otherwise it would not be appropriate to park the Orz randomly

I always feel that the shot is crooked, and no matter how I adjust it, it is still crooked, but forget it...

Looking back at the small town of Keri reluctantly, we drove further and further from the sea along the winding and increasingly narrow road to Mizithres Island.

Photos taken inside the car. Away from the sea, continue to climb.
Looking back at the cliffs on the way, I like the scenery of the mountains and the sea.
Along the way are such white and glowing rocks, I always feel that the rocks here seem to be fragile.

What exactly does Mizithres Island look like? Is it really as beautiful as I saw in the data collection?

During the long drive, we drove along the winding and narrow roads up and down the mountains. Because there was no car, my husband sometimes drove at a speed of 60 per hour. The speed of the car is actually not fast at 60, but it was the first time we drove on a mountain road since we passed the driver's license test more than three years ago. His rashness really made me drive and maybe unknowingly drive faster than him , but in the end I just stared at the road, reminded to drive slowly, and then headed towards Mizithres Island like this.

Old, the body really needs to take care of Orz...
The past few days just happened to be the time when good friends visited again, and the whole person was empty.
Traveling back then was actually quite miserable, but Zakynthos had a warm climate, and warm places were better.
