During the period from the end of March to mid-April, I visited some famous Hanami places in the suburbs of Tokyo because of a job opportunity. Today, I will take everyone to see these places that will not be crowded to see the cherry blossoms. It can be said that it is an unpopular cherry blossom spot that is not hidden and shared. However, the unpopularity still has its reasons. For example, the transportation is not convenient in the urban area, or there are no shops near the scenic spots to buy picnic food and so on. However, I personally visited each location and was greatly moved. Please take these locations into your planning every year during the cherry blossom season.

Come to a romantic picnic close to the cherry blossom waterfall: Setagaya Anvil Park, Tokyo

During the cherry blossom season, among the well-known cherry blossom resorts in Tokyo, it can be said that it is hard to find seats with large lawns and banquets. "Anvil Park" is a famous Hanami place in Tokyo that only local residents go to. It is also a super large park with a wide lawn and huge cherry blossom trees. It is suitable for planning as a half-day afternoon cherry blossom viewing spot. If you come with three or five friends, besides having a picnic, it is also good to bring some ball games or play some running and jumping activities.

Since Anvil Park is not located in the center of the city, there are naturally fewer tourists and office workers. The difference from other Hanami famous places is that most of the flower viewing here is composed of the whole family to play together, so there are quite a lot of balls rolling around on the turf. Neighbors will be less likely to get drunk and rowdy and go berserk. The distance from the center of Tokyo is also very moderate, and it is a famous place for Hanami that is very suitable for families with children.

It’s better to go here to see the flowers than to see people in Megnaguro: Kanagawa Motosumi Yoshi , Shibukawa Sakura Namiki

If you have been to the Meguro River and seen the magnificent riverside cherry trees, then you probably cannot forget the crowded crowd. In fact, there are many places around Tokyo where there are riverside cherry blossoms and trees. If you want to take a relaxing walk and enjoy the spring festival of cherry blossoms in full bloom, but want to avoid the terrifying crowds, then the Shibukawa Sakura Namiki, which is selected as the top 100 flower names in Kanagawa Prefecture, is called "Sumiyoshi Sakura", and it will be you in the cherry blossoms. An alternative option when traveling to Tokyo. 15 minutes by car from Shibuya, highly recommended.

The Shibukawa cherry tree is divided into many sections, and there are about 500 Yoshino cherry trees, so the whole pink atmosphere will appear during the cherry blossom season. There is a super-like river Sakura Namiki in Nakameguro, and there is also a water-friendly space where you can walk to the river. Of course, this place is also a place where very local residents come. When you come to take pictures, be careful not to make loud noises or disturb the locals who have a picnic.

The Motozumiyoshi area is actually quite standard. It feels like a small metropolitan area near the station in Japan. It is not too crowded but has everything you need. This is especially the Motozumiyoshi shopping street and Bremen, Germany, which have a sister city relationship, so it is still a good place to come You'll see some themed statues of Bremen bands.

Romantic riverside walks with Doraemon: Kawahara Sakura Namiki in Kanagawa

This place can be said to be the most popular among the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots in Kanto. The reason is none other than the location: going here to see flowers is not something that ordinary Tokyoites would do. It is located at JR Jukukawara Station in Kawasaki City, and you must take the JR Nambu Line to get there. It takes about 30-40 minutes from the center of Tokyo, but there are nearly 2 kilometers of romantic cherry trees along the route, and there are also rare images of trains and cherry blossoms that can challenge photography skills, so it is worth your time to visit.

There is the Fujiko Fujio Art Museum here. Once you get out of the station, you will see Dora Ammon who guides you / photo by Zatan Communication

Climb a little hill and hike to see the mountain cherry blossoms: Tokyo's Onone Greenway

The "One Green Road" in Machida City, Tama Prefecture is a 6.5-kilometer forest road walking route in small hills. During the Pacific War, it was used as a tank training ground for the Japanese Army. The range of the entire small hill extends from the Tama Art University all the way to the small town of Machida City, but the green road line only accounts for about half of it, with a total length of about 6.5 kilometers. The mountain cherry tree "Yabura" is a walking course for viewing cherry blossoms in a natural forest path.

When my friends and I actually visited, it felt more like a walk in the woods. The color of the cherry blossoms is also very special. It is an alternative choice when you can’t stand the pink (?)

Yabuzakura (ヤブザクラ) is a native mountain cherry species in the mountains of the Kanto region of Japan. Its flowering color is light pink, and it will also bloom with orange new leaves. It can be seen in the mountainous areas of Hachioji and Machida in Tokyo. Compared with the most common "Someiyoshino Sakura" in Japan, it is a relatively rare cherry blossom species. If you want to see it in Tokyo, you can only see it in Tama, Machida, and Hachioji in the suburbs. This time I went to the "One Green Road" in Machida City, and I happened to be able to bet on this mountain cherry blossom with orange sprouts. It is a very special place to see flowers.
