Year of the Tiger Book 01 - The wine brewed by the epidemic has not yet matured

"Books open the way for me in life. Life is practice, what needs to be tempered, and then polish my vision and look at the world. For me, life is not a yearning or an ideal, but an experience and feeling." - Quote From a bookstore Miru

Last year, I bought some books to support the brick-and-mortar bookstore as far as I could, but I couldn't read all of them. This year, I plan to settle these old accounts before continuing to buy new books.

I went to Taitung before the end of the year, and before the return trip, I went to Taitung Huanghuang Second-hand Bookstore to buy "Liquor Brewed by the Epidemic", which was independently published by Gao Yaowei, the manager of another bookstore "Book Congee" also located in Taitung. The book included 19 Taiwanese writers. The articles written by the owner of an independent bookstore in Hong Kong and nine creators from different fields are not long, and the content shares the life during the epidemic. This book cannot be obtained through major channels, and can only be purchased at independent bookstores (go to the independent bookstore near you and ask for a private message!)

The book is a pocket book the size of a comic book. After I bought it, I spent a few nights before going to bed to read it. The content is plain, and there is reality in the plain. The operation of the bookstore during (and after) the epidemic must be more difficult.

The owner of the bookstore quoted passages from many books in the article, and aroused readers' curiosity about those unread books through short quotations, so I also quote the words in the book that I am particularly impressed with:

"Books open the way for me in life. Life is practice, what needs to be tempered, and then polish my vision and look at the world. For me, life is not a yearning or an ideal, but an experience and feeling."

Quoted from Miru, a bookstore, "Laughter is a Testimony of Love"

If you can't read books, you can't feel the light in the words, and I think life is the same. Since the end of last year, my personal mental state has not improved due to work. When I get home, I am a sofa potato and I don’t want to do anything, but I know that this will not change the status quo. Can't feel some heat from other people's words, or figure out where to go next from introspection? This passage of Miru is not a wake-up call for me, but someone who provided me with a resting place on the way to get lost so that I can temporarily stop and not be too obsessed with ideals and aspirations.

Up until the moment of writing this article, I am still regurgitating the deep meaning of the text.
