Why is "All Universe" not a good movie?

Warning: spoilers

After reflecting on it today, I feel that the evaluation I gave to "The All Cosmos" with four stars (the highest five stars on Douban) is too high.

Let’s talk about the core idea of the play first:

Under the traditional family model, parents' excessive intervention in their children has led children to nihilism, believing that life and life are meaningless, and parents who are overwhelmed by such children have no other choice but to use violence to stop them. As a result, instead of being able to pull his children out of the abyss of nihilism, he himself fell into another kind of nihilism. In the end, through love, understanding, and dog blood, parents and children finally reached a mutual understanding, nihilism naturally dissipated, and love and justice spread throughout the world (well, there is no justice).

This is a very popular Hollywood-style sci-fi work in recent years, which can be summed up in one sentence:

The trivialities under the grand narrative.

That's why, when I started to reminisce about this movie, I found that it really didn't deserve four stars, because the special effects part really deserved four stars, but the plot was actually only worth three stars.

Why do you say that?

The main reason is that the two main characters in this film, Michelle Yeoh and her daughter, have super powers (no matter what the power is called in the play), which is completely untenable, so you can't think deeply about this film. The deeper you go, the more you realize that you have to practice O'Brien's doublethink in "1984".

why?

You think, Michelle Yeoh's daughter was blackened and it was revealed at the end that she was PUA by Michelle Yeoh in all universes (actually PUA anyway, or euphemistically, Chinese-style homeschooling as the Yankees think) , thus accumulating the resentment of crossing time and space (when you read "crossing time and space" here, please cooperate with the male protagonist in "Dune" to sing his mother's savior who transcends time and space to connect the past and the future. The end of the world is the feeling of my love), and then blackened into a demon (although she painted smoky makeup to let people know that she became a demon or seriously blackened, not seriously, it is beyond all possible moral constraints of human beings, But the actual feeling is that she finally successfully restored the physique and essence of the giant baby. But if you think carefully about the inhuman treatment she has experienced, you will find that the level of PUA she has encountered is not so profound in the PUA world, and it is even more profound in the horizontal slice of modern human history. It is a powerful existence like a fart. If you want to have a picture of this sentence, please refer to the end of "Love Dead S3E4". Any student from Hengshui or Huanggang has the right to turn her mother's eyes over with love and affection that reads "Look at your unseen bear". The bear baby under the urging of mother is qualified to call this young lady a "giant baby".

The hasty reasons for her blackening make almost every refined egoist who is not a representative of the American imperial middle class and a Blue Star two-legged beast full of PoC neurons unable to feel the same way. Of course, this is also the success of this film, because people who really have enough reasons to be blackened but haven't been blackened have no such leisure time. More importantly, there is no such precious spare time that can be wasted on this film. Up. Therefore, the medium of film itself has eliminated all the Blue Star Two-legged beasts except the refined egoists and the brains full of PC neurons.

Similarly, the reason why the character played by Michelle Yeoh can finally obtain superpowers is arbitrary. In more academic terms, it fully reflects what is called the aura of the protagonist. In the words of the male protagonist, she has failed enough in every parallel universe, so that different versions of herself in other worlds can easily versionjump onto her. Taking a house is as easy as it wants to be.

But, is it wrong? A person who still has a home, a house, relatives, and a laundry room that he owns, is called how much failure is it? What do you make the homeless on the street think? Have you been deprived of your human qualifications? Or not worthy of living in the multiverse?

Therefore, the mother and daughter's reason for acquiring superpowers is completely untenable, giving people a kind of "because I can only eat minced meat every meal, so I'm not happy, I'm going to run away you people who don't have food, don't stop me. Give me a sense of death".

That is to say, the core of this film is simply dangling, unreal, and unthinkable, but at the same time, it also hits the heart of the target audience with great precision—for those Blue Star Two who are so refined and selfish. As far as the beast is concerned, what could be a bigger disaster than a mother finding out that her daughter is coming out (of course, to an unhealthy old man) and her daughter finding out that her mother doesn't support her coming out of the closet?

All you have lost is life and dignity, what I have lost is the right to come out/anti-come out!

Therefore, the core of the trivialities under the grand narrative is actually trivial, but the main point is: it must be the trivialities that directly cut into the political hotspots that the Yankees are keen on .
