An old fashioned lady with no brain!

blind date

(edited)
Is this what I can date on a blind date? Am I old enough to marry someone my dad's age?

When I first started teaching at the school, I met a new teacher W from different departments in the same school because of the discussion with new teachers. We often sit together in a row to attend school meetings or study sessions. In addition, we all rent houses near the school, and the research room is also on the same floor. Soon, we became good friends who talked about everything.

She often mentioned that after a stable job, she had to actively seek a partner and have children, so as not to pass the golden reproductive period. I'm a few years older than her, and I'm not interested in love and marriage. Although I don't reject her, I don't intend to force her.

Once, her friend, the head of a certain department, wanted to introduce two unmarried male teachers to us. W eagerly invited me to go with me, and said that I needed someone to accompany me, otherwise it would be embarrassing for one to two. I reluctantly agreed and asked to meet at a small restaurant near the school.

The restaurants near the school are mostly for student meals, which are noisy and crowded. When we arrived, two male teachers were already there; four teachers, two men and two women, were sitting cramped on cheap plywood long tables and rubber seats, looking at each other in embarrassment.

There seems to be an arrangement, the two male teachers are also one younger and one older, one taller and one shorter, one plumper and the other thinner; when seated, they naturally follow this logic. Sit opposite.

The introducer did not appear, but fortunately W was cheerful and lively, and there was no cold scene. While eating, everyone took turns talking about their family situation, past experiences, hobbies and so on.

After the meal was over, we said goodbye, and the two separated. W and I walked back to our teaching building, and the two male teachers walked back to their teaching building. On the way, W and I exchanged views on the two male teachers. We are no longer young, nor do we admit that we are members of the Appearance Association. However, the short meal conversation did not seem to spark a spark.

The image of the male teacher sitting opposite me was quickly forgotten by me, and I no longer remember it; if I met him on campus, I would rush past him, pretending not to know or remember this person at all.

......

why? ! The male teacher sitting opposite me, I can't guess his age, but he has a bright forehead, not much hair, a few wrinkles on his forehead, and he wears a pair of reading glasses. In addition, polytechnic teachers are mostly slovenly and casually dressed.

When I saw him in the restaurant, although my expression was calm, my heart was aching. I thought to myself, is this what I can date on a blind date? Am I old enough to marry someone my dad's age?

No, if I'm going to get married, my partner, I've decided, never to beat my self-confidence with blind dates.

Later, W met her current husband through a dating website and got married and had children. As for me, just like what was said in the long- distance relationship , when I was walking on Yelin Avenue in National Taiwan University, I cheated my husband.

[Note] The actual age of the male teacher is not as old as I imagined. Maybe it is because the academic world is too hardworking, with less hair and more wrinkles.
